Ooer...
The Prestige Pack includes Bathurst circuit and ten new cars:
Ferrari F430
Bugatti Veyron
Ferrari F550 Maranello
Mercedes McLaren SLR 722
Lotus 2-Eleven
Lamborghini Gallardo GT
Mazda Furai
Jaguar XKR GT3
Honda Integra Type-R (DC5)
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
430 at Bathurst...
All new cars
Now, if they just got rid of the arcade aspects and got a time trail mode, we'd have something here.
Looks like this is the graphics engine for F12010.

It's interesting. The new GT2 class has different physics and damage modeling from the rest of the game. It's actually very hard to beat the AI at Bathurst and it's because they are fast, not ramming off the road. If you hit a curb too hard over and over, you will collapse the suspension. Maybe a preview of GRID2?
The Veyron is a stupid car, and it's not even raced. It is the fastest prestige car.
The Lotus eleven is fun (best use of mirrors in cockpit view). Touring cars at Bathurst is awesome, very TOCA like.
But one wonders why they make games with so many racing genres that are half-assed.
They need more real tracks, and they need to lose the US street tracks, and I hate drifting. Drifting is not racing.
Also, why pick Bathurst, and NOT have an Aussie V8 Supercar? Two models make up the whole field.
A major disappointment is the engine sounds -the Ferrari sounds like a Corvette, as do most of the cars.
The solution is that they should sell this game as a base game for $30, then add expansion packs downloaded to tune the game to preference, and sell us more tracks and cars a la carte. The 8-ball and Prestige pack are close to this.
Sounds like a better business plan than versions every 2-3 years.

I'm disappointed you cannot use those cars and new track in career mode. Waste of money.

Me too... surely they could let you use them? I wanted to tackle the touring car champs again in the Volvo STCC car!! Bathurst is a good inclusion though... the main reason I still play the game now and then, to do long races at Mount Panorama!
