By definition it would be Williams. They haven't experienced any success like they did in their glory days, which are now long gone, yet they arrogantly hold up discourse bewteen the teams.

Red Bull. So much for their open, cool and relaxed attitude. Their 'almost' success already got into their heads.

Although I find it a bit odd to label a whole team as an option. It's just the key people of teams who give interviews, ofcourse. But yeah, they represent their team, so I guess it's alright.

I don´t know if Horner is really that arrogant, or the team as a whole.
Also McLaren in the Whitmarsh years is significantly more humble than they used to be.
Ferrari - no, Stefano Domenicalli is a very nice guy, not like Todt.
Force India - very nice!
Williams was always Williams, that´s not arrogance.
Sauber - never.

For me it is Mercedes GP. I might be influenced by the ugly, teutonic color code of their cars as well, though.

Ross Brawn came across very human and a great chap last year, this year under the silver star though, he returned a bit to the owl like characteristics of the Ferrari years.
Norbert Haug has been sick most of the time this year, but he sounds like a broken record to me, I think they could be a bit more open and chaplike Brawn GP was last year. Schumacher...enough said. Wait till he wins again and the arrogance will be back.
Mercedes as a big company inevitably does not appear too human. If I imagine them becoming serial winners, OMG.

The only streak of light in this team is Nico Rosberg for me, I start to like him more and more, he is genuinely the real deal.

Easily Williams in my opinion. Even though they haven't been at the front of the grid for half a decade now or so (and haven't won a championship in even longer), they still act like the same frightening force that they used to be, speaking out against perfectly acceptable rule change proposals and constantly yammering about how good their car will be next season.

Ferrari were okay after the DreamTeam era. Won't last long with Alonso onboard though...

McLaren, also, quite tolerable minus Ron and plus Jenson. Could be better though... I hate all their PR crap, "The Vodaphone McLaren Mercedes Team have done a fantastic job!". Meh...

Red Bull are just fun - what other team's principle jumped naked into a pool? Which other teams had a superhero driver on the podium at Monaco? ;)

I voted Mercedes, yet noticing that the majority go for Red Bull:must be quite shattering for a company that prides itself on its cool and fun image.
Mateschitz might have to rethink things.

Who or what is it in RBR that makes them come across so arrogant? Dr. Helmut Marko? Christian Horner? Mark Webber? Sebastian Vettel? Adrian Newey?

Red Bull for me. They even tried to lay the blame for their complaints about the F'ing duct at Ferraris door pre-season and the constant whining about having to run with Renault engines, how unfair KERS was last year and now declaring that whoever gets to turn 1 first doesn't get challenged (iirc) smacks of arrogance that the win is theirs for the taking so long as the drivers don't take each other out. One-finger boy isn't helping, but that's just another personal gripe. Just raise your hands and acknowledge the cheers of the crowd like most everybody else does - it's not like anybody other than your team-mate can challenge you for pole these days anyway, is it?

Why the collective animosity towards Horner? Did I miss something? He's a down to earth guy - worked his way up the ladder, and built up an F1 team to be consistently challenging for wins. Which took a bit more than just good funding - see Toyota... Sure he's made controversial comments, but none have been exceptionally worse from the other principals. Flavio, Ron and Todt were all a step ahead..

For me it's Ferrari. Like before the season when they made this awful press release about how new teams harm F1 or just recently when they denied that their scanner pattern is a marlboro advertisement tho everybody knows it.

also some people dont seem to know what arrogance means. RBR are not arrogant, they are maybe whiny. Arrogance in their case would be if they tell everybody that they will win all coming races and that the lost points from the first few races dont matter. I dont see such behaviours from them.

Any team which gets to be a frontrunner has generally got to be arrogant. Still saying that Williams are above themselves these days.

It's not difficult to think of a few team bosses who are far more annoying, at least to me.

I think Horner is probably the most honest and open minded guy among them.
Seems his honesty annoys a few people ;)

I think Kolles and his bunch at HRT are showing some real arrogance badmouthing the only part in their lousy team that is not totally hapless - Dallara. Maybe they could have made a better chassis had there been a continuous cash flow during the off-season, but there's no room for complaint, if you arrive a few weeks before the first race having decided you're going to make it after all. Those bridges must not be burnt if HRT are going to stay in F1 after this season.

Well there is confusion in the posts as to whether we are talking the "team" as a unit within the Frame work of F1 and in association with the FIA - or if you are talking about the principle, team leaders, crew and drivers. If we are talking about "WHO" is most arrogant - or standout arrogant individuals on teams (like who has the most arrogant people) that is an entirely different question.

Ferrari is the most Arrogant "team" - but that is not due to it having all arrogant people staffed - as pointed out, there were/are a lot of people associated with Ferrari over the years that were humble or low key, mellow, etc. But the team as it works within the framework of F1 has been the most arrogant SOB team for a long while now...

red bull. they ...bluff that they couldve won the first two races.

That was one heck of a bluff. I'd of taken the odds on the wins any day - they had it wrapped up if their leader hadn't gotten knocked out. Back then, no one would have even caught up to try an overtake, RBR had a clear speed advantage, remember?

The Branson PR show (OK, at times I feel there is also something refreshing in his brashness) and the fact that they seemed rather assured that CFD technology would be at least as good as using a windtunnel.
I'm not convinced.....

Well they have confidence in a new technology, it's hardly arrogance, they've not come out and said to be fighting at the top in three years (*cough* lotus...).

second would be Ferrari simply because while they are even more up their own backside at least their principle is good for laughing at.

Luca di Montezemolo is equally bonkers and I don't warm up to their current drivers.

I still cant get over Lewis fans worked up about Red Bull's arrogance. If you looked up 'hypocrisy' and 'double standards' in the dictionary......... :p I also remember many Lewis fans arguing that its 'ok' to be arrogant if you've got reason to be.

I dont see too much wrong with Red Bull, to be honest. Mclaren were quite vocal in their accusations about Red Bull, and Red Bull responded and I dont blame them. Vettel's comments about Ron were not classy, but other than that, I think they've been fairly justified in their comments. I think some people are just very threatened by them more than anything, and Lewis fans are very insecure about Vettel challenging Lewis' presence as the 'hot new driver' on the grid(hence the ridiculous criticisms about Vettel liking to 'point his finger' - quite pathetic).

Really, its hard to accuse any 'team' as being arrogant, as we dont hear the thoughts of most of the team members other than a few higher-ups. And many teams have 'blemishes' that they could be faulted for. Mclaren are always going on about how great they are at blah blah blah. Ferrari could probably show some more respect to the other teams sometimes. Williams acting more important than they really are and how they've dealt with their drivers. Etc etc.

arrogant [ˈærəgənt]
adj
having or showing an exaggerated opinion of one's own importance, merit, ability, etc.; conceited; overbearingly proud

It's probably against the spirit of the thread, but I can't see that their is an arrogant team in F1 currently. Ferrari were always the most likely suspect, but they have a history which puts other teams to shame, add to that a period that was so dominant it actually turned me off the sport for several years and there's some reason for an arrogance hangover in their quarter.....they've always been competitive - there's nothing gone on this season in their overestimation of themselves - they're not a candidate.
Williams has always been about racing - it was never about fans...until 3 or 4 years ago. Pay a tidy sum and go to the factory to watch a race this weekend - hardly the sign of an arrogant team. I'd also say that SFW making an open and honest appraisal of his failings in the relationship with BMW was also a turning point for me in any determination of his socially challenged mindset. Williams know they're on the ropes - there's nothing that's come out of them to denote arrogance....their agitations have been to protect their business interests (like it or not..and I don't)...but that's another story.
Red Bull get a special mention as well. Horner has raised the ire of a few by suggesting if the last race was dry they would have won....well I think that was more a measure of frustration that arrogance. Without mechanical intervention in the first 3 races Red Bull would have been on a clean sweep. Sure if and buts don't count for much, but anyone who thinks they'd be in a similar situation behaving differently needs a lie down.
McLaren - well if there's a likely candidate it's probably them - but that has more to do with individuals in the team, rather than the team.......Button evens that out though.

Got to be Red Bull. From the way they tread drivers throwing them out without any class in the middle of the season (Speed, Bourdais) to acting extremely cocky in interviews Christian Horner. Then there is Dietrich Mateschitz who destroyed the A1 Ring in his homecountry, a fabulous track that had just been completely renovated 10 years ago, wanted to build something else without having done all the necessary paper work, the track was perfectly fine when Red Bull destroyed it for good. Every single year since that Mateschitz claims he is going to rebuild the track they completely demolished and they never follow through after having got millions from the government.

I think the fans often come across more arrogant than the teams themselves and can cloud the viewpoint.
