Briliant, i love the Formula 5000 cars. I wanted to get into motorsport since a very young age but I wasn't able to for money reasons and also body type, I was told I was too tall and being too tall would then make me to heavy. I think they were right cos at 21 years of age being 6Ft 3 and 90kg's I don't think id half fit into a single seater race car, althought one day I'd still love to get into karting and see where it takes me. And as i don't have that opportunity at the moment, the next best fast dangerous and powerful thing i can do is buy a sports bike so thats what im going to do :) haha

Mark Skaife raced and won at F4000.

Berger and a couple of others aren't short asses either.

One of the big things against a tall bloke is your head interfering with intake flow losing hp.

Good stuff!
I miss the old F1 cars, every one of them having a kind of a specific own character.
Thank you for sharing.

Thanks again to everyone who enjoyed the films; for those who have not yet see the F1 film - the sound of a 1985 turbo Ferrari is truly awesome, as is the V12 BRM, and the period Cosworths sound great (where is a V12 Matra when you need it?)...in the F5000 film - the thundering, brutal sound of Chev V8 stock block F5000 engines was and is music to my ears; they WERE the good old days!!
