Just wanted to let you guys know a very funny ad just aired in Spanish tv. I just finished watching the GP, and I'm watching the ads after the race, then a Vodafone ad starts playing.

There's a road. You can hear the music from "Jaws" play (or something very similar). Then an F1 car starts appearing, in slow motion, the top first. It's a silver car. It's a McLaren. Music continues in crescendo. You can now see the helmet of the driver, it's yellow - it's Hamilton. The music reaches the climax. Then the following caption comes up:

"The better the bad guy is...
... the better the movie"

:rotfl: :rotfl: sooo funny

There was a thread in this forum a week or to ago suggesting suitable theme tunes for the drivers. I remember someone suggesting Jaws for Lewis.

Ive seen stuff first said on here turn up in the press in "analysis" columns... suitably paraphrased of course. On one occasion it was striking as the writer performed an about face in that he held the opposite view in previous columns. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if they got the idea here.

That's a risky move by Vodaphone. Lewis is not exactly popular in Spain, so it could have a bad image for Vodaphone in the Spanish market to be honest :p

Well since they have "Vodafone" all over the McLarens and Lewis I don't think they have much to lose really. I think it's a good bit of grasping the nettle. A worthy Bad Guy is about the best they can do.
