Yeah, Monaco rocks  . Lets play some guessing game to kill the time. So, the question is - How many red flags are we going to see in Thursday Free Practices :smoking: .
My guess - 5.

You know with Thur so far away from Saturday, it's easy to forget as usual practice is on Thursday.

Why is free practice in monaco always held on thursday? And I expect the McLaren's especially lewis to be a lot closer to the Bulls.

Because Friday is the drivers day off for the Monaco ball which is a tradition for all the drivers to attend.

Any potential fans of F1, I would suggest tuning into Saturday's Q1. Best spectacle of the weekend :drunk:

Traditionally the race was held on a weekend when the Friday was a public holiday. Don't remember the name of the holiday. Anyway, the tradition of first practice being on Thursday has remained even though the race is no longer on that public holiday weekend.

Cunning how a venue like Monaco can still pull of these things. 260 kilometers distance instead of 300, practice on Thursday instead of Friday, no real 'podium' etc.

Exactly! But look at Kubica!

Vettel seem not so dominant as in the last race pacewise.

Red Bulls never impress in practice, however I believe they will not be as strong here, maybe even not the strongest.

Renault Kubica 2nd,
Track changes until the last laps of saturdays, wouldn't make too much assumptions from practice 1, practice 2 towards the end should show who's progressing towards a ideal position if Quali 1 on sat goes alright.

Redbull might not work well around here. 2 early to tell yet.

Alonso first to hit 1.15

Let's see how fast they are by the end of the session.

True about the track getting faster, but its interesting to see how fast the different cars can go on the temporary track situation.

So far Webber seems uncomfortable yep, he needs to make changes for practice 2.

A bit of action and Monaco grit.

Redbull are still fighting for pole sort of time with Alonso.
Thanks for joining us at atlas f1 forumers for practice session 1

Join us in a few hours for practice session 2.

Now for some adverts.

That was entertaining.

I guess Sauber is paying the price for hiring a rookie. But this is no surprise.

I wonder if this is the real pace of the frontrunners, if yes then Kubica is in for the podium.

Ant Davidson saying that looking after the tyres is going to be the most important factor in Sundays race. Is anybody else getting frustrated with watching drivers trying to look after the tyres instead of trying to drive quickly.

I want to see a race round monaco, not an economy run.

Guess that's part of the game.

Was it not like this back in the 80's?
