From time to time - and this is one of them - I get to wondering if anyone really reads RVM. I generally get a smattering of email each time it appears, but it is often like firing off into the dark. I guess folks read it, but I don't have an idea how they, especially the younger crowd, feel about it.

Okay, it is Friday, I'm tired and the day won't end until close to 2300 tonight - it was after 2100 when I got in last night - and sometimes you get to wondering....

Don, I have read almost all of your RVM articles. I find them to be very informative and great reading. Although I admit that I don't get around to reading them as quickly as I would like due to information overload. I fully appreciate your efforts especially after I am tackling a similar endeavor. I would keep plugging along because the great drivers and seasons from the past should not be forgotten. Personally, I don't mind the smell of moth balls because F1 in the past substantially outdoes anything in today's Formula One.

Keep up the great work because there is a whole new generation of Hakkinen, Schumacher and J. Villeneuve fans to convert over to Fangio, Moss, Ascari, Clark, G. Hill, Gurney, Gregory Posted Image, etc.

I hardly ever go beyond this fine forum, but if you are working on a series of articles I will check them out.

Hey Don, I just read the second installment. Great stuff, thanks for taking the time. I never cease to marvel at what the drivers once dealt with as far as working conditions and equipment go. Specifically, I'm thinking of your account of Phil Hill's off. Do hazard and skill go hand in hand? If so, my generation is sorely missing out. Most won't know it, but I do.
Thanks to Karl, too, for your enlightening contributions to the Atlas main page. Maybe I'll get up earlier and prepare my toast and eggs before the beginning of the next grand prix, instead of twenty laps in. There might be something to your "chess match" after all is said and done.

Frankly, I don't know where to find it... I don't mean for someone to post a URL, just tell me the steps - I don't have a lot of time to look, but I'd love to.

I always read them, because they contain so much information that I dont know. If I told my friends this, they wouldn't think it was possible Posted Image

I read them and find them better than anything I know of that's currently commercially available. It helps to have a posting here to tell us when there's something new.

Don,
Whenever a new 'RVM' article appears on the Atlas site I have a good read. They are consistently good in both content and research. Do not despair!!!!

I have always found the 'RVM' column easy to access on the 'Atlas F1' main page, prior to locking in on this forum.

I print them, then I read them. - I'm to old to get maximum pleasure out of something on the screen.

I think that's what I'll have to do... some good research goes into them.

Hi,
I really enjoy the RVM - especially the season reviews. I'm so happy you decided to follow up 82 with 61.

I read them everytime too! But felt the need to respond, maybe we should mail you a pat-on-the-back more often to let you know we still want them!

I read them all the time. Great stuff!! Keep up the good work. I guess we should respond from the article site.

Donn

You know the way when you pick up an old copy of Motorsport at the carp boot sale you always flick to DSJs grand prix report first - well every Wednesday when Atlas is released I read RVM first. Fantastic, keep it up.

One of the younger crowd - 24.
Goodwood in June or any modern F1 meet. No contest.

I read them, though not always as regularly as I would like. Amazing amount of information there!

I read every installment! I've learnt so much from that column, it's amazing. I know how you feel Don, I'm a regular Atlas columnist too and you sometimes get to wondering if there's actually anybody out there...

Don, at 23 i guess i am part of the "younger crowd" and i always read rearviewmirror and always enjoy it. I must say though, i prefer the stories on certainmarques and certain drivers rather than a detailed lap by lap review of Rnd 3 of the world CC in Mexico in 1953...... i love the marque and driver stuff.

In terms of getting feedback, i have only written the one article and was bombarded by e-mails sayingn they loved or loathed my article.... but i chose a fairly emotive topic.

Keep 'em coming Don, I have a lot to learn.

Great column. I think Atlas may have forgotten to put it on the
homepage. I had to get the URL from this thread.

Although I'm definitely the "younger crowd" to which you refer, I'd rather read posts here than anywhere else. And I do read Rear View Mirror.
