You may know my website www.wegcircuits.nl, which covers racing circuits in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria.

I have added a second pdf-file to my website, which lists all known permanent road courses in the United States, from 1936's Roosevelt Raceway to such recent circuits as Chuckwalla Valley Raceway and Bluegrass Motorsports Park. At present the file lists 128 tracks, but there were certainly more that should be included.

The basis for this list is of course Allan Brown's outstanding work, but I found his book is often not entirely accurate, especially when it comes to dates. I think this file gives a better and more accurate overview of American road courses and their history.

You can download the pdf from my website, it's 17 pages and 0.3 mb. Corrections and additions are of course very much appreciated.

Rob:
Rattlesnake Raceway, Texas

The first race there was held on May 11-12, 1963, won by Hap Sharp in his Cooper Monaco. All previous Midland races were held at Midland Air Park, so they weren't actual road courses. Winners: 1958, Danny Collins [250TR], 1959, Alan Connell [315S], 1960, Jim Hall [Tipo 61]

Green Valley Raceway, Texas

The first race there was held on August 13-14, 1960, won by Jim Hall in his Porsche RS-60

all research Willem Oosthoek
