Tyrrell P34/2 information / pictures / schematics wanted!

im a 3D Artist that creates models for games and movies...and in my spare time, create accurate cars.
having a very hard time finding good pictures of the 1977' P34/2, which, I want to model in 3d in extreme detail. (along with the transport truck...but pictures of that are even harder to find). ive done a search of this forum, but seems a lot of photos are no longer online
so please, if anyone has any high resolution paddock pictures of the p34/2 with the canopy removed, I would very much appreciate it! I will also keep this forum abreast of further modelling developments if anyone is interested. (im planning an animation)
(I know the 1976 p34 has a lot more coverage, and im interested in doing one if I cant find enough for the 77', but I would want to make the 76' Japan GP version)
here's some samples of my previous work - http://www.vimeo.com/8587815
Cheers

The car (P34/2) will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and I'm sure you would be able to have a good look over it, take plenty of photos etc.

I dabble in a bit of 3D Max in my spare time, haven't done much lately though. I had a bash at modelling the P34 a couple of years back, not too detailed though.
Here is the render:-
http://neilgrocock.d...6...27?q=1&qo=1
I also had a go at a Lotus 78
http://neilgrocock.d...allery/#/dp1pov
and a Williams FW14B
http://neilgrocock.d...allery/#/dplc31
The rest of my 3D work is here:-
http://neilgrocock.d...rt.com/gallery/
At the time i managed to find all i needed of the internet, try google searching tamiya p34 and p34 blueprints on an image search, i was fortunate to have built the Tamiya model of this car so had the build instructions for this which helped.
Have fun, and post the results here.
Cheers!
Neil
PS enjoy the Festival of Speed, you can't beat it!

Don't Tamiya still have a P34?
That might be close enough for you to visit?

There was a whole car in the museum in Suzuka last time I was there, a little south of Tokyo, but not as far as Goodwood, assuming it's still there of course!
Steve - i would be happy to goto suzuka for the weekend. i'll try to hunt up which museum it was at, cheers
Peter - i have the tamiya models, but since they are plastic molded, they dont have the detail I need (ie, detailed suspension, geabox, rivits, welds, duct tape etc)

Peter meant Tamiya has one of the real P34's, in fact the 1976 model. It must still be in their showroom at the Shizuoka City HQ. With the Shinkansen 1-2 hours away for you.

James, checkout www.tamiya.com/english/news/event/visit/visit.htm
thanks Arjan and Peter, its a 76' but if things keep going the way they are with the 77' reference...its probably my best bet...ive been collecting reference for both cars, but the 76's photo folder is by far bigger.
I wonder if they would agree to take the bodywork off?

I wonder if the P34 at Suzuka was the Tamiya one?
I've found with museums that if you tell them what you are doing and ask the right person they can be quite helpful (e.g. let you undress the car), but Tamiya might decide that it is better to try to sell you one of their kits instead...
Apparently Tamiya have just released a 1977 Monaco P34 in 1/20th scale as well as the recent 1/10 scale R/C 1976 version (which used the original bodyshell) so they presumably have the requisite information.

Probably not in such a small size. Anyway to link to a large image?
I have a slightly larger version of that picture, but yeah, even mine is a touch small.
ive found this book which im going to order -
http://ec2.images-am...L500_AA300_.jpg
hopefully will be a bit of a treasure trove
anyway, i'll get started on the bodywork and wheels, as thats the most complete reference I have right now.

As I said previously, the car is at Goodwood this weekend and I promise a lot of access for photos etc to any TNFer who asks.
Come and look us up.
I am asking for some!

Thanks in advance!
By the way: which "chassis" will race at Goodwood?

Are there cutaways that haven't been posted on the cutaway thread by any chance ?Hi if you email me your email i'll send you some cutaway's and I also have shot's of the car from Watkins Glen and Long Beach. I also got shots of the 76 liveried car with and without bodywork at the Monterey Historics a couple of years ago. So aside from livery and minor bodywork changes were there many changes in the front for the chassis?

Got any shots of the AVS Shadow?

I've uploaded all 75 10MP pictures I took of the P34/2 at FOS2010 to Oron. I hope they are of interest to some of you

P34-2 at FOS2010.rar - 265.2 Mb
I've also got 2 1080p clips of the WDK guys firing up the engine and pumping up the hydraulic clutch. Let me know if anyone wants them (350MB each).
Thank you Roger for taking the car to Goodwood, it was the highlight of the event for me!

The Buhrer cutaway, though, is pretty off as far as the A-frame is concerned.
Betti rules the roost IMO
