It's gonna be HOT this weekend. Humidex in the 40s.
It's not the heat, its the humidity which makes Toronto almost unbearable in July - I was there in '95 staying with my brother, we went to qualifying, but race-day was so hot and humid we sat in the pool and watched it on the box - The next weekend we were in Calgary freezing our balls off watching the seemingly interminable Stampede, which is as oxymoronic description as it gets, moving as it does somewhat slower than a flatulent snail....

Not exactly sure, something I may have to go back and look at.

Paul is filling the stands here.
I had him sign my old Williams Villeneuve hat yesterday.
He smiled when he said; "This hurts me!"

How is it that the IRL can refuse to renew Marty Roth's license, yet lets Milka Duno keep racing? Ridiculous.

Bernie should certainly look at adpoting the US style paddock, instead of inaccessible pit lane garagesHere is a map of the track layout..
If Joe Bloggs in the British GP support race for GT cars, is in a tent in a paddock with his 911 mingling with the fans, should Hamilton and his McLaren MP4 not also be mingling with the fans in a tent in the paddock?

No, it's always had a slight wiggle there, but the track is wide enough that the drivers can sweep through it without any trouble.Looking at the track map, have they put in a minor chicane in the middle of the back stretch there?

Michael Andretti "owned" this place as a driver. From 1989-2001, Michael won 7 of the 13 races. The years were 1989, 91, 92, 94, 95, 2000 & 01.
Sure did - he was brilliant here.
Still remember watching this at like 2am delayed here in Australia and seeing the Krosnoff accident. Still saddens me.

Impressive practice two from Danica - beating both TK and Marco to take 11th. Considering everyone says she can't drive to save her life on street courses, that's pretty damn good.

The reason she's currently allowed to race is because she's never run a full season so she didn't need to take the rookie test like Marty Roth did. This is her first full season, so after it she will be forced to take the rookie test and if she fails, she won't be allowed to race.
Let us hope they don't dumb down the rookie test. If Duno can qualify, then I could qualify, and I've never raced anything other than a go kart.

Is it just me, or is it impossible to follow the coverage on indycar.com at the moment? The engine sounds covers the sound of the commentators and live timing is down so I don't know what's going on...
Impressed with Danica, beat Tony there despite Tony being significantly better according to most people.

Glad it's not just me, the stream is working fine but the leaderboard is blank.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, one faster time does not a better driver make.

That's not the point I'm trying to make ;)
Lots of people seem to think that Danica is completely hopeless on road/street courses and might as well not bother, whilst thinking that TK is amazingly awesome. This proves that at least sometimes Danica can be ok. TK is undoubtedly superior on these sort of courses.

Don't waste your breath - in the unlikely event that she ever won the championship, it would be nothing to do with her driving, but purely down to the shampoo she uses...

Funny that, you seem to think I was saying that she's sh*t when I was merely point out that all she'd done was be faster once.
Touchy much?

Commentary inaudible now that the cars are on the circuit.
You can link to Indycar Radio from the website which is the commentary only. It and the cars in the video mix are loud enough to mostly obscure the too-quiet commentary in the video mix.

The pictures I have are the second batch, I would have thought they had finished by now - I'm confused.
They're in the fast 12 right now. Maybe refresh the vid?
