Time and Two Seats is the bible when it comes to the history of World Sports Car racing.

My copys are unmarked with good clean straight pages.

Why on earth would you sell these? I'd gleefully buy them in a second if I had the $$, but they're literally must-own books for racing nuts and the printing was so limited that it must be like giving a child away for adoption to sell those!

Dan,
Sometimes you've just got to let your children go, let them live their own lives. And if someone will give you money for them, all the better! Good luck, green-blood; I hope you get a decent price for them. I found it quite therapeutic letting go of some of my long-held treasures.

Can I offer some advice in addition to that of Vitesse (who knows these books much better than I do)? So many of us don't realise For Sale & Want is here that, if you haven't already, it might be worth posting something both in the Books thread and in general TNF, directing people to S & W. Also, the market can be quite slow at the moment, particularly for high value books - you may have to be patient. Vitesse is right about Ebay as a possibility, and you could pop it on Amazon at a fixed price, leave it there and see what happens. But don't sell it twice by mistake, it can cause ill-feeling!
Obviously, if someone on this website buys it, you avoid Ebay / Amazon commission. Having Paypal is handy for most of us; any other payment methods? Is the p&p you quote Ireland to Europe, or to anywhere?

One final thing, it might still be worth seeing what the very best best price a specialist bookshop, either in Europe or the States, would give you for your gems. At least then you can decide whether, at some point, selling to them direct would be just about bearable!

Thanks for the kind words.

I think these are more suited to the scholarly types, I'm more a "tales" person. The sale of these will feed my book purchasing ediction !!!

I certainly wont sell twice, I'm open to private sale offers but I wont sell until the auction ends. And I will respect th order in which I receive inquiries.

It's being sold from Ireland, I have a good courier contact and the P&P is generally aimed at the UK. Rest of world will require some further research but I've been assured of a good deal!!! Nobody will miss out because of outlandish P&P
