These are two of the three Engineering prepared 1957 Corvette factory racecars that ran at Daytona in 1957. #9 is my car..#72 is still missing.

#9 still has the original engineering prepared drivetrain including the prototype fuel injection, RPO 581 rear suspension, factory installed roll bar, special short steering column, original interior etc.

#72 was driven by Fred Windridge. Anyone know a contact # for Fast Freddy Windridge or have pictures of the several 1957 Corvettes he ran for himself and for Rosenthal Chevrolet?

According to this link, Fred Windridge passed away ten years ago:

Here is a link to Windridge yachts:

I presume that Kathleen Windridge is "Pinkie" Windridge, who also raced. Perhaps if you contact her, she might have something.

Also, have you seen these photos?

Vince...thank you...I will give Windridge Yacht Charters a call.

Can you help me with another East Coast driver Dean McCarthy..who drove the SCCA circuit.

Pinkie Windridge's maiden name was Marianne Rollo. She and Fred divorced in the late 60s if I remember correctly.

Here is an article with info on Pinkie Windridge:

Apparently she was born Marianne Wheatley, then she married Fred Windridge, then they divorced, and then she married Reed Rollo in 1962.
