First of all, I'm not sure having the tires that go off is actually all that bad. Isn't the problem in F1 the fact that tires don't go off? Second of all, tires are a lot more important when you drive tanks around exclusively high speed corners, so having worn tires hurts you more in that situation. Lastly, I think Goodyear made a conscious decision to make tires that go off, because they themselves got badmouthed at one point for making tires that didn't even wear away a mold line after a stint.I think the tires situation are much worse. How can new tires be worth 3sec/lap in a <60sec lap? Something is VERY wrong in those tires. Who makes them, anyway? is there any thought put into it at all, because it surely seems like they use the same crap tires year after year.
