Nothing else needs to be said.
Well maybe, the Arrows A18 with Damon Hill almost winning in Hungary '97. That was during Tom's ownership of the team.

Same here, a huge shock. The real racers are dying off now... Walkinshaw, Tyrrell [ok, a while ago, but still], Tom Wheatcroft... the list goes on, but I can't...I didnt even know he was ill

I really enjoyed Arrows 2000 season performance. That was quite a competitive car from one of the perennial underdogs.

He and TWR were icons. It was sad to have Arrows disappear and take TWR and Tom with it.
For some reason I believe I had read about his illness, possibly around July.

Too young either way. He will be missed, and remembered.Does anyone know his true age? Most sources list his birthdate as 17 November, 1950, which would have made him 60, but Adam Cooper claims 1946 (64) and Jo Saward says he was 63. Just wondering. In any case, RIP.
Edit: I notice Autosport has now changed his age in their story from 60 to 64.

Yep, it was a really good car from such a small team.
