No - unless when you count to 10 you stop at 9Didn't the new decade start in 2010?

No - unless when you count to 10 you stop at 9
Or you start at zero.

I've always thought of decades as 0-9: 1980-1989, 1990-1999, 2000-2009, 2010-2019 etc.

So the first decade had 9 years since there wasn't a year zero...

You are right. This way 1980s don't include year 1990. However, because there was no year 0 it's not exactly correct from mathematical POV.

the problem with that argument is that centuries and decades are different things. you might say the first century to refer to years 1 to 100, but you don't really commonly say first decade to refer to 1 to 10. is too short a period of time to be relevant in that sense, so ppl use decade to refer to specific period of times that are relatively recent. the nineties indeed means 1990-1999, not 1991-2000, if you said the 200th decade, you might consider 1991-2000, but thats just isnt really used.So the first decade had 9 years since there wasn't a year zero...
infact if you take a look at wikipedia's article for the 0s, you'll see they use it to refer to the first nine years in the anno domini era

or
Does he wants to look like you know Who, do a miracle and become the saviour of Ferrari ?
It sounds a bit of paranoid

I remember Schumacher used to drink several liters of water before the weighting to gain that advantage.

Alonso would have to be "F1's first-below-nose tri-moustachioed driver."

Well played, Kate. I didn't remember him being so bushy-browed.
#25
Posted 11 January 2011 - 05:43
No. He's only going to grow it 6/10ths of an inch.Is Alonso letting his hair and facial ones grow until the Fia Official Seasonal weighting day and then shave it all off to gain some advantage ?

FA featuring NBM(Nose Blown Moustache) New Ferrari Aero Face Device. He will test them first as Massa NBM was not ready at factory. Strangely Jules Bianchi and Marc Gene NBM were manufactured in time for Wrooom. There are rumours that FA NBM was defective(nose blowing problem) and they take Massa NBM from his face and give it to Alonso to test NBM first. According to the team NBM is giving 2-3 points of downforce.

FM thinking: "Do I see a exit? Can this be really a exit from Ferrari? Will I run quick enough to get out of this ridicolous team? Do I have the courage to take the possibility? I mean, it's evidently a exit, something that I'm searching since a year, c'mon Felipe, take this opportunity... ehh... I'm to scared... I can't do it..."
