Nah seriously though, no reason at all not to post, if he isnt comfortable talking directly about his products then Im sure people will respect that and leave that subject for private communications. I make games and have never stayed away from game forums, its just a matter of being thoguhtful and professional about the work side of things, which Im sure he is anyway.

Well if he restricts himself to saying how much f1-2010 and GT5 sucks he will fit right in!

1) The motion of the seat, would that not be better to have movement of the wheel and peddles as well?, from the F1 2010 video, there is loads of movement going on, but the wheel is stationery and I would think your brain would recognise this irregularity?
2) Would the use of bezel-less screens be better?

Been looking at this, and its amazing - very nice. But if I maybe, ask to questions?

I think that moving only the seat is because the intention is to simulate forces not actual movement. The idea is that you dotn SEE the movement you feel it. If you move the whole cockpit but the screen stays still and you can see the surroundings that would likely create a very odd impression indeed.
You can move the whole thing, and this would give the very best effect possible (as in full simulators) but that would mean making a closed module to sit in, and moving the entire visible environment of the driver including the screens. This would multiply the cost of the unit by many times.

Bezel-less screens, do they exist? Or maybe using some fresnel lense?
These are pretty sweet, but the price isn't ;)
Alienware did one a few years ago
LG have a nice new model too ;)

The second sensation is what the driver's body actually goes under. Despite being absolutely strapped down by the belts, to the point where it hurts your collar bone, your body does twist a fair bit. So as you go around the corner your body is shifting, ever so slightly. Yet the wheel and pedals are still stationary. And if your belt is even fractionally loose, you literally have to use the steering wheel just to hold yourself up right.

1) A very good question and one we get asked all the time. Our quick answer is, try other systems, then try the Motion Pro II - or ask anyone who has. The answer will be quickly obvious. But it's a legitimate and logical question. I won't bore you with details here, but if you're really interested in the practical research and theory behind it, check out: http://www.cxcsimula...m/how-it-feels/ Then look at the testimonials of the race car drivers who use our simulators to train: http://www.cxcsimula.../driver-quotes/
2) All of the bezel-less screens (or even bezel-lite) have major compromises in either panel quality, screen size or response times. All bad traits for simulator screens. Trust me, we test new screens and display technologies on a constant basis.

..the best simulator I've ever driven. The way it moves and even picks up track surfaces adds a whole new dimension.
So how does that work? As far as I know, only iRacing (aside from raly games) has laser scanned tracks that gives correct feedback regarding track surface changes, correct?

Actually, there are a few others that have laser scanned tracks and high fidelity physics models, but iRacing remains the favorite "consumer accessible" package. Our simulator comes pre-loaded with a variety of software to enable our customers the power of choice. iRacing is one of my personal favorites.
