Hi,
A couple of friends and I have booked our tickets to this year's German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring and have been trying to determine exactly how we will get to the race circuit. Google search results have made reference to their being a shuttle bus service from the train station at Koblenz, but nothing particularly definitive. If it is at all possible to get to the circuit via (affordable) public transport then that would be much more preferable than hiring a car.
Has anyone been to the GP at the Nurburgring before? If so, do you have any information or advice? How to get there, how long it takes, etc?
We haven't yet booked accommodation but will almost certainly be staying in or around Koblenz.

in 09 I staying in Koblenz and used the bus, was pretty easy although it takes a while - and need to be careful to get the right bus back! Koblenz is OK, not really a lot going on there, but nice enough.
I stayed in the Ibis, which was cheap and fine with quite a few f1 fans staying there. Only problem I had, I arrived about 9pm and they'd given my room away! Apparently I was supposed to reconfirm it as I was arriving after 8pm or something, I showed them the booking confirmation (which didn't say any of this) and they got me a room in a nearby hotel to cover it, so worked out, but was a stress at the time!

Do you have any more details on the bus? I.e. how often it ran, what times, etc? Thanks!

sorry, been a while since I looked at the forum. Bus went at about 9am, think there might have been a couple of earlier ones too. leaves from the square on right of the train station as you come out of it..
