Hi Folks,

I can't get Premier Sports due to being a Virgin Media customer, so what are my options for getting NASCAR in the UK?

Anyone tried the NASCAR RaceView online? The info on the site is nice and vague, I get the impression you can't actually watch the coverage of the race... is that the case?

Any other options?

Jim

Another downside of the Irish mafia getting the rights to this is that NO pubs will have it either.
Raceview is a cartoon, not video.
Your best bet is to find one of the online streams available.

You have personal messaging turned off
We are not allowed to post streams on Haymarket sites.

So..check Justin.tv
Or join myp2p.eu and click on motorsports

Hi, RaceView customer here.

I have found that if I had a choice between watching the TV broadcast with no RV, or RV with no TV, I'd choose RV in a heartbeat. What I do is I have RV in my main window and PitCommand (which shows the whole track with little number circles for the cars' positions) in another browser. I listen to the radio of my favorite driver in RV, and use PitCommand to toggle among other interesting drivers, usually whoever is closest to my favorite on track, or someone who just crashed or got a penalty or something.

With the cartoon animation of my driver's position on track, and two (or more, if I want) teams' radio transmissions, and an overall view of the track (so I can see who crashed when a caution comes out--the slow circles who are by themselves) I find I get the whole picture of what's going in the race way better than the TV gives.

I watch NASCAR with my laptop on my lap and the TV is almost on in the background, for extra reference.

Of course I'm also communicating with fellow forum members via the weekly NASCAR thread, which is also fun. Often other members are listening to other drivers' radios and/or have insights on other aspects of the race I'm not enjoying at the time.

That's my take.
