Just wanted to know what a dyno is. I've heard the word mentioned before and know it has something to do with the engine?

When is it used, what is it for, what does it mean when ppl say the "engine was on the dyno for the first time" etc etc.

Thanks

Confucius, I belive it's short for dynamometer- a device used for measuring force. It is used to measure torque (force x leverage) of the engine from which powerband (torque x revs x 2 pi/60)can be calculated.
