Which team mates drove the most F1 WC races together?

We have Schumacher/Barrichello with Ferrari, Häkkinen/Coulthard with McLaren, but then?

Berger and Alesi 77 with Ferrari and Benetton
Mansell and De Angelis 59 with Lotus
Capelli and Gugelmin 58 with March

Has someone a top-10 list?

Inevitably, the much greater number of races in recent years mean that older pairings aren't going to feature much, but I expect that in Tour de France parlance, the winner by a country mile will be Schumacher/Domestique.

Only around 20 I'd have thought ? A couple early in 1976 before Ronnie went to March and most of 1978 ( plus outside F1 their time together in the Ferrari sportscar team in 1972 )

Heidfeld/Kubica have 56 races (and I guess are now "team-mates" again, though one isn't racing).

And just what does that show? With the present 19 race championship, drivers drive more races with the same teammate than they did when the championship comprised a mere 7 races.

Now, if you had calculated the time between a pairing's first and last races together you might have a more significant list.

Lists of this sort are inevitably futile. Racing hours might go some way to restoring the balance since races dropped below 3 hours for 1958 . . .
Are there really 19 races these days - no wonder none of them stick in my memory for more than a few days whereas the 1958 season (which I couldn't watch on TV) is still there!

I regard the Peterson car as a works effort - Ronnie's contract was with March, and March owned the car, but farmed out the actual running of it to Antique Automobiles. The Granatelli car was more of a private entry, but seeing as Granatelli and STP were so closely tied in with the works team at the time ...

The Gugelmin/Capelli pairing stands out. With the exception of Barrichello/Button, the others were either continuously successful or at least working towards the front. Very rare to see a team stick with drivers that long especially in the midfield.

Didn't Colin Crabbe have to sort out the engine(s) independently though ( which I believe led to at least one non appearance that season ) ? Oh and I don't think there should be a comma before innit ( just to be pedantic !! )

Was taught at school that there should be a gap between the last letter of a sentence and any exclamation or question mark etc.

Mind you, according to the Blood Pressure thread, I should probably adressing you as Ye !!

It is, I believe, correct usage in French to have a space before question marks and exclamation marks, but I'm not aware of it ever having been correct usage in English.

and my 1998 edition of Fowler, whilst making no specific pronouncement on the subject, has no spaces before its question marks and exclamation marks.
