The FIA are telling us that there are no end of companies waiting to sponsor F1 teams but are reluctant because of the tobacco influence in some teams.
Well Minardi is a team without tobacco influence that require sponsorship. Any business that now sponsors them will recieve a lot of coverage as being the saviours of the team, they may also enable Minardi to secure a half decent engine and improve performance.
So please any large businesses looking to heavily sponsor F1, consider the Minardi Minnows and be the saviour of one of the most popular teams on the grid!!!

Agreed. I'm guessing Ecclestone might come to their aid. It would be a shame if Minardi couldn't continue.

Good idea, SchuMic. That would make Minardi sponsored by Atlas.

Well, I have 25 cents to spare

... this isn't a good start, is it?

A "Save Minardi" fund was briefly mounted
by the readers of the Planet F1 site.
Minardi said that while they were touched
by the offer, they would be ok without it.

Guess not.

I wonder what they're doing at Minardi.
Designing two cars? One to accept a
Supertec and one to take a Ford HB?
Even if they get an engine deal
tomorrow, >45 days might not be enough
time to get a car to Australia.

Cool, I can see it at the bottom of all the boards now..."Atlas-Minardi-Supertec".

AyePirate - The M02 has already had a benetton B200 rear end welded onto it in the factory, and the M03, which Brunner is already working on will take a supertec.

The Ford HB is long banned, the engine you are thinking of would be the last gen of the Ztech-R engine as run by Stewart in 98, that's long been written out of the picture though.

No, I think that should read
"ATLAST - MONEY 4 MINARDI - SUPER!
