Button winning the race saved this GP from being a boring result to a brilliant one.

The fans who left the circuit must be kicking themselves in the arse.

Cry me a river. The red flag saved Vettel's ass in Monaco.

Probably.

There's NO WAY that Jenson can be faulted for either collision. Surely the only decision is to quickly state, "Jenson has no case to answer, he's the winner."

Button's up for 2 incidents right? The Hamilton & the Alonso ones ... I hope the stewards don't fark the result up, it was a memorable race ...

They did change the Spa 2008 results.

Button, IMO, deserves to be penalized FAR MORE than Lewis after Spa. So, yes. They will change the results, and rightfully so.

Probably not (according to Pirelli and others).

WOW MW happy with boy wins, too bad he shunted off Lewis. Dirty, dirty, dirty.

This is the beginning of the end of Lewis at McLaren.

One of the best races I've ever seen. Easily. What a race. So so happy for Button.

Canadians dont like chokers it seems. Brilliant race and it would be bad for F1 if FIA take victory from Button.

So Button breaks a safety car rule, takes out his teammate and Alonso and gets to win the race........

awwww come on seany. Let me guess, you subscribe to the view and Jenson punted Alonso off? Rather than ALonso leaving the door open and then trying to close it mid corner? Kinda smells like the Webber Hamilton incident from Singapore a little, and we all know 90% of people blamed lewis for that.

was cheering schumi on, great drive, deserved a podium to keep a RB and mclaren at bay for so long

great drive from jenson, i hope the stewards dont ruin the race by giving away pointless penalties

YEAH! Button drove like a champ!

Most important: Vettel cracked under pressure.

Big ups to Schu and Webber, too.

What a terrific ending after such a dreadful start.

Finally, Vettel cracked!!!

Yay JENSON!!!

I wouldn't call it "cracked". Button was in the faster car and with the DRS, Vettel wouldn't have stood a chance to win anyway - so he tried everything to get the gap back to 1s, overdrove the car, got onto the wet part of the track and that was it.

Alonso opened the door then closed it again, Alonso should have taken the 'measured' approach that all you Alonso fans say Hamilton should take, now it happens to you and you call for a penalty? lol! take it on the chin, no penalty will be given Button was level with Alonso on entry and Alonso closed the radius off.

In the alonso thread I said racing incident not penalty.

I think given button checked his mirrors before lewis hit the wall tho I think that was dirty by jenson and as such I felt he won the race dirty.

I just turned the stream off I had enough of brundle going all crazy over button.

You are right but could have happened. He has a point that the red flag might have benefited.
But that is the problem with today F1.
Every year is more of a Circus and less of a Sport.

Not under Todt. These results will stand, cos if they don't the FIA will have a sh*t storm on their hands and Todt will not allow it. If anything, it will be reprimands or a possible grid drop but I doubt it. Lewis won't make such a fuss about it now that Jense has won and Alonso doesn't have a case in the first place.

One of the greatest drives in the history of this sport.

From last to first in less than 3rd of the race.

With 23 safety cars, 1 red flag, 2 DRS zones, competitors self-destructing and the leader going wide. Sure.

And don't forget DNF'ing Alonso and Lewis.

I like Button but I'm looking forward to his 20 second penalty for punting Alonso off the track. The patented McLaren way of "overtaking" it seems.

So essentially he made a mistake ... in loose terms that is the definition of cracking under pressure isn't it ?
