F171 mod, anyone tried it? It's been out for a while now. Over at SRA racing league we trialed it running a 1971 Tasman Series over 4 races (Longford, Pukekohe, Teretonga and Warwick Farm) and the racing was fantastic! The cars are quite forgiving when you dial them in well and driving them a little sideways can actually be faster than keeping them straight and tidy. We've had some incredible wheel-wheel battles over race distances as the cars do allow you to run side-by-side through corners.

I have it, although I dont use it much. The cars seem to look alright and even though i have the TC and ABS aids on, it still gives wheelspin and every time I hit the brakes they lock, although I can get round that, albeit a bit slower, particularly on the brakes.
They slide around a bit, so I guess that was real for that time but they still give a fair amount of grunt.

The only thing that really bugs me are the mirrors, the cars appear really fat in the mirrors and they look much closer behind than they actually are. (I get drawn into thinking they're right up my arse when actually they're 3 or 4 lengths behind)

Yeh I agree the mirrors have not been done very well. We don't run with TC or ABS so not sure why the tyres still lock and wheelspin! Only thing I can suggest for locking up is to reduce brake pressure to about 90% or move your brake bias rearward.
