The week has arrived and now F1 heads to the Ring. Many F1 Grand Prix have taken place at the Nordschleife circuit of Nürburing and for 2011 F1 is returning after last year the German Grand Prix took place at Hockenheim.

So what better way to remember F1 Grand Prix in Nurburgring than with one of the greatest drivers of all time: Juan Manuel Fangio.

Here is a video of the great Fangio back in 1956. Hope you enjoy

Wasn't Fangio's greatest drive in 1957?

He won the 1956 race in the Lancia but he famously won the 1957 in a Maserati.

Well, DSJ reckoned the car was more Lancia than Ferrari which was why he called them Lancia-Ferraris

Yes, his greatest drive was not in a Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes or "Lancia-Ferrari". It was in the German GP in 1957 behind the wheel of the great Maserati 250F, perhaps the most beautiful F1 car of all time:

I take the point, Duncan, but the whole concept of the D.50 was seriously altered by Ferrari and comparing the 1955 Lancia to the 1956 Lancia-Ferrari I see too many alterations to call the 1956 car a pure Lancia.

But this is just semantics and I shouldn't indulge in it.

Do you have the authority of BP, or the rights-owner to post these films, toovo?

Hi toovo,
please not that Fangio drove in 1956 for Ferrari. It was in 1957 that he drove for Maserati.

I wondered if anyone would pick up on that. The inference WAS there, David, although the words were not specific.

There was a lorry load of whisky. Thieves stole the lorry, took it to lay by in a quiet road, unloaded it and loaded the cases of whisky into their own vansfor distribution. Two cases were left behind. Someone came along and found them and put them into the boot of his car. To share his good fortune he gave one to his neighbour.

Question: Was the neighbour guilty of handling stolen goods?
