Well done Steve...

If you are a motorsport fan, even if not a rally fan....PLEASE take 5 minutes to write your support for the sport of rallying in the UK. As per usual, its the minority that shout loudest about their 'walking/riding' rights and everyone else's rights get passed over.

So take a moment and support the MSA in this action.

It not only affects rallying in the UK, but everywhere. Once things catch hold in one country, no matter what it is, odds are high that in only a few years others follow suit.

Yes, motorsport causes damage to the forests. But if taken care of properly (which the rally community has made as a top priority) the impact of a stage rally, or any motorsport even on the land becomes minimal.

Done.

When I think of Rallying, I think of thin bands of gravel roads between tall trees, cars getting sideways through the numerous bends, and fans in wooly hats cheering on their heroes with only a Thermos flask to comfort them.

Who don't mind getting wet every so often.

Thought this needed bumping back up.
If you have the slightest interest in Motorsport (and being on a Motorsport forum should confirm this), then send an e-mail to the relevant parties - if the Ramblers Association are the only leisure party represented, then Motorsport will be lost from the forests.
The MSA take a lot of flack (and quite rightly sometimes), however, this needs supporting!!

The effect (of banning Forest Stages) could very well snowball across many countries.

Dear ALL.....

There are threads with over 11,000 posts in on F1 drivers which obviously people get passionate about and yet we only have a handful here saying they have submitted a response.

CAN ALL THE LEWIS FANS, KIMI FANS, ALONSO FANS, ETC ETC...PLEASE, PLEASE TAKE 5 MINUTES TO HELP THE RALLYING COMMUNITY IN THE UK!

There is a link via the above, to an MSA page where a response is already created for you, which you can tweak to suit your views and then send in. It will take you 5-10 minutes at most from your day and yet your input may help to save this sport not only in the UK but in other countries too.

While I appreciate many of you may only be interested in F1.....PLEASE do your part to help rallying as you know every Rally supporter would do the same and have done the same to help support F1 and Silverstone in the past.

The Rallying community truly appreciates any support it can get.

Regards
FOC

I know, the question is if my opinion will count and if they will even read my email? What do I write in the "address" field? If it makes sense, I'll send the mail because I'm a rally fan and banning rallies from forests is nonsense (likewise closing race tracks because of the noise).

With it being a general call for views by DEFRA (see http://www.defra.gov...trypanel/views/ ) I would think that all responses and opinions will be read and counted.
Every single vote or reason why Motorsport should not be removed from Forestry Commission land can only be for the good of the sport.
