A couple of weeks ago David Lawson kindly post a photo of SAH 137 a Triumph SLR.

Can anyone confirm that Sid Hurrell was the first owner of this car that appears to have been driven by another well known Triumph racer Neil Dangerfield.

Relevant answers maybe used in a forthcoming blog.

Thanking you in anticipation of your responses.

Having just had a shufti at the photograph I feel bound to comment that it has a hell of a sight more tyre area than was applied in period, and, aside from that, it does not look quite "right"

Something not look 'right' above and beyond the tyre area and the body being 5" shorter than the Morgan versions ?

Here's the Morgan version for comparison.

Saw them both in period and never realised there was such a difference, must have been the draught Worthington.

I know a man who probably knows, I will drop him a line and ask him to take a look at this thread, however, as I pointed out previously SAH was Sid A Hurrell so he was most likely the first owner with that reg mark.

Thanks Bauble, I am 'guessing' using the same reasoning but I'd hate to put my foot in the brown stuff without attempting to find out from some one who knows

A Google search for Triumph SLR Hurrell finds a post by Neil Dangerfield on the TR Register forum here ( Dangerfield SAH 137) which explains all.
