I try to play F1 2010 online, but am not coming across anyone playing it during the times I try to play. Must be that nobody in the U.S. is playing.

Edit: for below post (ID: HaydenFan69 PS3)

Don't forget to state which platform you play a multi-platform game on e.g. F1 2010. And also your relevant ID's if possible.

Mario Kart Wii
Friend Code: 2579-2858-3002 (S. Vettel)

Primary combo is either Mario on the Nitrocycle/Sneakster or Rosalina on the Spear/Torpedo.

I do have F1 2010 and Forza 3, but have never really been interested in their respective online modes.

Live for Speed, the demoversion unfortunately. It's quite big fun although I'm starting to miss other cars rather than XFG/XRG/FBMW on one track after 1.5 years :S

Playstation 3 (dirtymagic291) the name has nothing to do with how i race though ;).
F1 2010
Gran Turismo 5

Playing GT5 more regularly lately, playing shuffle races with people i know, but i hate when your having a good race and someone punts you off, especially if they do it to lots of people they annoy me the most

I don't play much racing games. Main reason is that I have to plug the G25 and it's a bit of a hassle. So I usually go for the shooting especially because the PS3 has little variety to offer. Once in a while I play GT5 as F1 2010 is a bit of a toughy and mostly a crash fest as Hayden said. As I tend to respect my opponents I spend most of my time in the gravels either because I let the good drivers pass me or because the only few morons whom I'd be able to beat crash into my car. I had some good time with Burnout Paradise but that's it really. I miss a real Colin McRae rally game like the 2..0 version where you could race not only on your own during the stages. Next game will be ICO in HD and probably BFBC3 where I'll certainly be swearing against the lack of team play, as usual.
I have a laptop with a I5 CPU. I can hardly play iRacing with that. Plus little is done to help with the PC games; compatibility is always an issue, not to mention the amount of time it takes to simply set up a pad properly.

Live for speed.

Best simulation of the real world physics by far. Kind of puts all other racing simulation games to shame, that includes GT4 / GT5

I dont race online at all at the moment, cant justify Iracing sadly and this is the way most games are going to be in the future after Rfactor. So cant see me rqcing much online apart from consoles anymore.

Simraceway is pay, CARS is pay, Iracing is pay and RF2 looks likely to be pay.

please don't compare RF2 with Iracing, RF2 is MUCH cheaper, you only pay something around 15 usd per year I think, after buying the game (and the offline remains yours even if you don't buy the online functionality every year...), and you get a lot of content for a lot less money, and probably many mods....
as for CARS is a totally different concept, and for now I know nothing about the final product price.

Well how on earth you can know anything about RF2 when it hasnt been released yet I dont really know, but I get your point.

Iracing is a very American product, it is very good, but I can't jump to paying that much money for a game, that money could go towards real racing not that kind of thing. Be it some gear, an ARDS test perhaps, crazy money.

But you can't fault their marketing, they have virtually destroyed PC sim car gaming and made people be able to only go there to play a decent game, that is aggressive, clever marketing and fair play to them.

Everyone now tried to copy their model and laughably at that, simraceway and Netkar are so laughably underfunded but commendable efforts. Iracing is the Walmart of sim gaming and that is the end of it!!

I hope RF2 will be a little mroe cost effective and perhaps bring back some decent online and single player gaming to the PC. Iracing is very good, but being penalised for clipping the grass by a millimetre is not my idea of fun!!

I haven't heard it described like that before! Think you'll find that most regulars play iRacing because they consider it to be the most realistic simulator.

"The title will sell for $43.99, allowing unlimited access to single player & mod development mode. The price also includes 12 months of online account membership, an additional year of account membership can be purchased for $12.99."
http://www.virtualr....-info-announced

that sounds very distant from Iracing pricing.

that's cheaper than the release price of the console games,
and if you want to play online is cheaper than paying Xbox Live or something

I also play f1 2011 at the moment, playing online as well as having an awesome co-op season. only 5 points it in with three races to go. By the way dont be put off by my name 'dirtymagic291', im a clean racer. I also prefer the online ranking system in f1 2011 although i got annoyed yesterday when i was about to cross the finish the line and the other guy left the session and i didnt get the win!

Picked up GT5 over Christmas. Found the it's only real fun in the Shuffle Mode. Especially in the smaller spec cars (400 under PP).

I'm on Forza 4 quite a bit these days--frequently in the R1 hopper lobbies. I may be hosting a few custom lobbies over the course of the week--if you search custom games and see "R1 Circuit Racing", that'll be me (hesitant to give out my gamertag here).

Feel free to join up if you want to race R1 cars, but keep in mind that there is just one restriction: any cars made pre-1995 will be disallowed to keep the field close and to keep out the idiots who drive nothing but their beloved leaderboard cars. What were they thinking with the 905C and 787B, really? :drunk:
