JayWay,

Jos? Superb racer? LOL

People only are hard on Jos becuase of a certain person on this BB who has a complex with a certain 3 times world champion, who also BTW praises Jos to the heavens.

Jos was very impressive last season, look at Monza, and more so look at Montreal. Jos was easily the most impressive driver at that race, much more impressive that another driver who happens to share the same initials as him. Was there any race in which Villeneuve could claim to be the most impressive driver, like Jos at Canada? Yes Villeneuve is a better driver than Jos, but not way better. And Jos hasn't got the opportunity to drive a Newey car as well to show his real ability.

AD,

Fair enough, it was an impressive preformance by Jos, but comparing it with JV's preformance is like comparing beer and orange juice. Jos was running extra downforce from the begining and had the pit strategy right on. JV was running lower downforce from the begining just to even out the chassis, and then did a great job of holding his position, untill the team screwed him up in the pitstop.

At Monza JV was on pace for a podium so I don't see how you can say Jos was better then JV straight out.

I think JV is a super driver but he needs to wake up and act like one, if he gets kicked buy Panis he will lose all his title
as one of the best he will stay at bar as long as they will keep him I hope that will never happen!!!!!!

Villeneuve has strong qualifying potential. He can make impressive overtaking moves like Estoril-96 and Jerez-97 for example! He really pushes all his cars to the maximum limit. He is so fast and that is why I regard him being the best driver since Ayrton Senna died. Mika Hakkinen is cool too. He is really fast too but sometimes he has no motivation at gets beaten by Coulthard and Coulthard do I not see as a great driver.

I think Mika would have been better if he had a better team mate that could push him harder. A driver like Frentzen, Trulli or Fisico really could make Hakkinen stay on his toes all the time.

Mika impress on me because he is so damn good when it really matters!!! A sign that all great sportsmen show. Villeneuve also genious when it really matters. What a move at Jerez-97!
