I don't know the background of that, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks more like Felipe<3Lewis and Romain Maldonado.
He was not literally hunting down and full-speed crashing into one specific championship contender.

The last clip in that video is definitely a hunting-down-and-crashing.

As for the Catalunya one, the leading driver is tapped and spun round. Doesn't even leave the track surface. It was hardly a Suzuka 1990 incident. And the fact that he skipped the crap chicane to do it is pretty funny. And as a revenge move, I've got more respect for it than Audi's DTM team a few years ago at the same circuit, where they reacted to perceived aggressive driving from another team by pulling all their cars out of the race.

Still, if the series organisers don't want their competitors barging each other off the track in revenge moves, that's entirely their look-out.

Navajo has been banned for life from all Renault-sanctioned events, and the marque is urging the FIA to bar him from its own championships. Schothorst is consulting lawyers and deciding whether to sue him for attempted manslaughter.

Attempted manslaughter?

What law would that be under? In English Law you can't attempt Manslaughter since that would denote intention, and one can never intend Manslaughter (only Murder).

Good luck with that...

Have at it, boys.

Are you really trying to compare this with what the Megane guy did?
The last hit on Kenseth was the only one intentional and it was retaliation, something you see quite often in Nascar and that is really really rarely punished. You can't compare both.

You know what, I would've done that, or done like Audi in 07 in DTM at the same track.

If the Renault-series-stewards had balls, they would've dq'd the TDS team as well for taking out the two Oregon cars in T1.

Technically there are two retaliations in that video, one from Vickers and the other from Jamie McMurray in the McDonalds car. I don't see why they can't be compared, except for the fact that it was more team-vs-team rather than driver-vs-driver.

Punish "Old Navajo" or his team, absolutely, but don't get all moralistic and say it's the worst thing any racing driver has done, ever. He didn't put anyone's life or bodily health at risk and the driver he punted still won the race.

I've got a sneaking feeling that if it weren't for the aggressor's FLAGRANT CUTTING OF THE CHICANE, the level of outrage the incident received would've been quite low.

Ferrari will block Frijns going to Sauber with a seat for Bianchi there. It's another Ferrari driver that will come with the engine package :stoned:
Mark my words :)

Bianchi certainly has the Ferrari whining politics down alright.

Assuming Force India will continue into next season I would assume Bianchi is going there. Sauber will have Gutierrez and Hulkenberg. Just my opinion...

Is there footage or pictures somewhere from Alain Prost & Damon Hill's demo runs in the Red Bull RB6?

Bianchi at Sauber? That won't happen.
Mark my words ;)

If only because Ferrari simply seems to have lost faith in Jules BTW.

Seriously, Sauber is far more independent than some people think. I wouldn't be surprised if they went for Mercedes engines again at some moment come 2014.

I think Monza is much better for racing than Silverstone.

Disappointing, but there's no round in Germany either. Not sure why Renault feel the need to run two rounds in Spain, other than the fact that they've got lots of wide and safe circuits.

Says here that WSR is run from Renault's marketing budget, which in the UK since this year has all been going to other events like Goodwood. Which is why the FR3.5s raced as a WEC support event, rather than the Super Renault Fun Day. Rather have Goodwood than yet another identicar race series, if I had to choose.

The real scandal is the lack of a Formula Renault replacement in UK entry-level single seater racing.

Good to see 15 year old Matheo Tuscher doing quite well. I am sure with more mileage he can be at the top end of the grid.
