I'm hoping that someone here might have an answer to this one...

Greg Mackie, perhaps?

The March 18 hillclimb at Dapto, third round of the NSW Hillclimb Championship that year, was won by Erol Richardson. It was reported in RCN by Alan Dunley, photos came from Ross Pentecost.

However, the report and the photos don't match! Dunley briefly but definitely describes the Wortmeyer SCV, a supercharged VW-engined hillclimb car, while the photo from Pentecost is of the Mildren F5000. This car was owned by Jack Wortmeyer and driven by Erol at that time, and he tells me that Dapto was one hillclimb where it was faster than the VW-powered car.

Can I please have some external confirmation that it was the Mildren winning at this climb - though then named the Wortmeyer SC5 - from someone who was there? Or has the photo come from another event at the same hillclimb?
