"Briton David Coulthard revealed at McLaren's launch in Valencia that he has postponed plans to marry American model girlfriend Heidi Wichlinski as he bids to win a maiden world championship.
Coulthard, 29, admitted that his quest to become a world champion was the reason behind his decision to put the marriage plans on hold. The couple had not yet chosen a date for the wedding, and will not now attempt to get married this year."

If they wait until David becomes WDC to get married, it just will never happen.... :lol:

Using the WDC as a reason for not getting married doesn't make sense to me. Mika got married in 1998 during the season and won his first championship. Is DC saying he can't multitask? I'm sure she'd take care of arrangements and all he would have to do is show up.

It's not unusual, actually, for driver to postpone marriage until they had achieved their goals in F1. Jim Clark and Ayrton Senna come to mind.

Not that DC is a Jimmy or an Ayrton.

Rumor has it that DC is linked to the Cruise-Kidman break-up. DC was recently seen with Tom cruising women ;)

Senna was married before he raced FFord in the UK, and separated from his wife after the 1981 season IIRC (He made his F1 debut in 1984)

DC already have problem to cope well with the pressure he has at Mac and in the F1 (especially from that "nasty" MS)...So he don't feel ready to cope with ALL THE PRESSURE OF THE WEDDING!!!;)

Bah, that's good news no? Seems that we still have a chance to see Heidi being "free" again soon :rolleyes:
