Most of you on the forum will know of this excellent publication ( motorcycle news spin off ) first edited by Ian Beacham then John Brown which ran from 1976 to 1982, first as a bi-monthly then as a monthly through to october 1982, this was followed by a couple of periodic 'specials'.
This magazine contains some wonderful pics and is a wealth of information for motorcycle racing from the mid seventies through to the early/mid eighties.
I own a 99.9% complete set of these, 6 volumes ( 5 in original official 'motorcycle racing' binders ).
I would like to ask how many other people on here have a complete or near complete set ?
Also does anyone have any official binders or 'special' editions of the magazine for sale ?
And finally what do you think this collection is worth in monetary value ?

Individually they are only worth a couple of pounds each mag, except the first which is worth a good few pounds, I had two & sold one on ebay for about £15.00? about 5/6 years a go.
A full bound set would be worth more, how much? not sure?

I have nearly a complete set I think I have about 2 issues missing, But I would not part with them for anything as you say a superb publication.

I have quite a few duplicates , if you and Paul list your needs I will have a butchers and see if I can help

Of on hols ( again

) tomorrow , but i'll check in about 8/9 days :wave:

Many thanks for your kind offer but I have managed to buy the three issues I had missing, so I now have what I believe to be a complete collection of MOTORCYCLE RACING magazine from the 1st issue through to the last.

I have wondered in the last year of publication I think it was 1984 ish without going looking, how many issues was there.

Hi Mark, I believe 1984 only had 4 'special' issues - spring, summer, autumn & winter.

I have been collecting the early issues over the last couple of years and have three gaps to fill - if any of you can sell Dec-77, Jan-78 or Apr-78 editions please let me know. Thanks.
