Printed my first ones out and hope to try and put one together tonight! Doesn't look easy as I can't read Japanese! But maybe I can follow the directions! :)

Not a racing car, but a givaway from Ford for the Fiesta "S" launch in the seventies..no doubt scanning has distorted it...The FORD COMPLIMENTS is the floor... get scanning / resizing/ glueing NO copyright on it ! :rotfl: Posted Image

Nice find. There goes any chance of me being productive to society for the week. But at least I'll have some awesome desk decorations

If you're into paper models, check out this guy on youtube. It's Japanese as well but he has some interesting models.

There was special booth for this paper craft thing at Japanese GP this year.

Can be found somewhere on that OP website but here's video of it -->

Couldnt find that Sauber, maybe it's not published for download, but found blog of the guy who made it
http://shinachiku.at.../article_4.html

Anyway it seems all the works are available for free download. Basically same principles for freeware; do not redistribute, do not sell, free for personal enjoyment.

I put some links to some other works for those who're interested and having difficulty reading Japanese.

EPSON offers loads of free download of Super-GT car that they sponsor.

Silly question, but is 'normal' paper strong enough? Looking at those pictures it seems like it's made with stronger paper, almost like cardboard.

Here are the links for the Marlboro logo

Schumacher: http://metmania.com/...48f1/248mb5.zip

Massa: http://metmania.com/...48f1/248mb6.zip

Common parts: http://metmania.com/...f1/248f1_02.pdf (password is metmania)

Somewhere in the blog there are also additional PDF's with the same parts as before but without the Marlboro logos. Ask for them if you want and I will try to find them.

Normal paper is not a good option for most of the models you will find. Using 110/120 grs/m2 is a pretty good option I've used 100, 110 and 140 grs/m2 and all of them were pretty solid and the finished model will look pretty sturdy.

This Toleman is made with 140 grs paper: Posted Image

I used 100 grs for this Renault: Posted Image

And this Jordan was being built using 110 grs: Posted Image

And finally, three metmania models: Posted Image (Ferrari built using 100 grs paper, Lotus and McLaren built using 80 grs paper). Not a lot of difference visually but it can be felt just by grabbing and touching any of them.

Metmania models are a very good learning ground as they are just a bit complex but not too much. I started with them and it was a good experience.
