Here is a few pictures from the ICGP round in Oschersleben Germany, the ICGP serie is just good fun and pretty serius racing, the top guys really put on quite the show, and the grid is normally big, in Assen we were 39 starters on the line, properly the biggest grid in all of the classes that day, 600, supersport, superbike or what ever its called, you know what I mean, diesels all of them
Cheers,
Leif

.....and the 18 inch wheels. As we all know, an inch makes all the difference; wouldn't they go quicker round the bendy bits if they increased the ground clearance by fitting the original size wheels (surely suitable rubber is available somewhere)? Then all we'd have to do is to encourage the riders to not dress up like the Michelin man.

These old bikes are gorgeous but to be honest the big fat ugly silencers completely destroy the experience. How can a beautiful big thumping AJS 7R or Manx be the same with those ugly obsenities attached to what should be an open megaphone emitting gorgeous sounds. Defeats the purpose of the exercise in my opinion.

I agree but them's the rules I am afraid (we are ruled by Europe don't forget) unless of course your running the Fomula1 World Championship race series where they don't run any kind of silencing?

Nice photos Robin.
Thanks Graham. It was the one's of the sidecars that I had the questions about regarding a 200mm lens in the Best Picture thread.

I have always loved the singles and I'm especially fond of Manxes . I had a 500 once - ex Vince Chivers (6-speed, twin plugs, Gardner carb, 4ls brake, but despite all that it was a bit of a dog , so I part-ex'd it for a Seeley from Vin Duckett which I had for three seasons). This was in the early seventies when they had become obsolete and before the classic movement became established. I still gravitate towards them whenever I see them in the paddock. I can't understand why the hoy-poloy spend millions on works of art when they can have a new Manx in their living room for a fraction of the price!

Do you have any pics of my mate Stephen Harvey? He raced at Jehonville around this time on a vintage Norton and also on a TZ 350.
Stephen is the nephew of Jim Harvey, I know he looks in on the forum from time to time, where ista Stevie?
Many thanks
