Does any one out there know where I can get new or second hand (pref good cond) copies of Autocourse? I've got 89/90 and 93/94 to current but I'd like, mainly 84/85 onwards, hopefully one day a complete set. All the book stores around here only have the recent ones...

I'm also a collector of Autocourse, I have 84 to 99 (missing 96). I just purchased the last 3 from Amazon.com, for a much cheaper price than from the bookshops in Oz. From doing a lot of surfing, looks like you can only get 96 onwards brand new, earlier ones will have to be 2nd hand.
For 2nd hand books go to ebay.com, and do a search on autocourse. There is aways a number of earlier ones on sale. Right now, someone is advertising the complete set from 51-99 for US$12,500. Bit rich for me, but what an amazing colection that would be! I've seen numerous editions from the 60's and 70's on sale there. The older ones for US$200-300, and 1980's editions for around US$80.

I too collect the Autocourse books, they are a really good read. I've been collecting since 1995, I have 1995 to 1999 brand new, and also 1982 to 1985, and 1990. I got the 82 and 84 Autocourse at a charity book sale, the sellers had no idea of the value of these books and I got them for $10NZ each, which was a steal, they were in absolute primo condition. I agree with the above poster, it seems that only 95/96 onwards can be brought brandnew. You just have to cruise the second hand bookshops and keep your fingers crossed. I've also picked up Autocourse books at rare book auctions; it pays to keep an eye on the newspapers for announcements of forthcoming auctions.

Thankyou !!
I'll start scouting around the book stores and markets to see what I can pick up.
