Change of plans, im just doing Sepand now i cant justify paying 3 and a half times as much money to sit in a grandstand at Melbourne vs Sepang. Although it sucks cos i was really looking forward to Albert Park!

+1 for Melbourne. I have been to the last three races and it's one of the best sporting events I have ever been to.
There's so much to see and do around the circuit - puts most other races to shame.
I have a '4 corners' ticket and sitting at turn 1 (Jones) for Sunday. One of the highlights of the weekend has to be the sprint to the podium after the race - every track should do this!

I'll be there for my tenth trip to Albert Park. I always get a four day general admission pass although I'm tempted to get a one day grandstand pass to watch the race.

just bought a 4 day pass for the WAITE grandstand. Was in a dilemma between the WAITE and the CLARK grandstand. If anyone has been to these 2, can you please share your experiences? Thanks

Missing this race after having been to the last 4.
I loved standing on the inside of turn 3. Great place to watch the cars slowing and cornering.

Missing it this year after going for the last three years.
The dumbest thing the AGP ever did was put the Advantage tickets on sale a month after last year's race. I know a LOT of people who couldn't come this year because their finances couldn't handle putting the first ticket payment down so soon after the 2011 race.
The rubbish part is that I think doing grandstand the last two years has spoiled GA for me, but when you consider accom, flights (Canb to Melb $130 now! ) and tickets, it's just money I absolutely cannot justify, even GA. I'd be looking at nearly $1000 for the whole weekend. I'm meant to be moving out of home soon. It would be irresponsible of me to spend that much money on one weekend. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Doesn't hurt any less.
Dad keeps trying to tell me I'll have a better view of the race on our new huge flatscreen, with live timing open on the laptop next to me...it's not working.
