In memorium: Enzo Ferrari

February 18,1898- Actual Birthday.
February 20,1898- Officially recorded at local registry office.

Peter Egan on Ferrari Cars:
"The Ferrari, perhaps any Ferrari,is a car of high drama in
appearance and sound. It's impossible to drive one and separate reality from that rich overlay of myth, racing
history, famous drivers,Italian Roads, and great endurance contests. The heritage goes with the car."

Peter Egan
"Dino,Car of the North"
Road & Track
Volume 36,Number 7

With kind regards,

I celebrated twice, first the day that FJ won the title, then the second time that Niki did.

Ray, why didn't you celebrate Niki's first title?

I felt basically that his second was more worthwhile. His first was good, and included their first Monaco win in an awful long time (19 years?), which was a great introduction to live GP racing for a friend of mine, but the second title involved the comeback.

I would celebrate the 18 Feb as Enzo Ferrari's Birthday , the reason that there is 2 dates for Enzo's Birth date
is that Enzo was born on the 18 th but because of heavy snow that had fallen , Enzo's Father was not able to register his son's birth until the 20th when the weather had cleared enough to do so.

This was a question on Sale of the Century last night.

Now that's fame for you!
