Seasons starts in Adelaide this weekend of course. Some nice (and some nauseating, see lime green Pepsi Max car) new liveries. Last year with live rear axle cars.

The three lead DJR cars qualified within 0.05 s! No dramas about unequal equipment there :) . (Not much speed to boost about though either.)

Premat in 25th beating a rookie pay driver and two cars that crashed out some 1.3s off, while 1.3s off would put Massa in about P6 in F1, I suppose it is very competitive. :)

Can someone tell me what all the kerfuffel with Jamie was late last year after Bathurst? There was a report in the Melbourne Age that no one was talking to him in Team Vodaphone and he was definitly in the bad books, "persona non grata". Word was he was about to be shown the door. Came at about the same time as The Lowndes seperation.

Just watched the race, and that was an absolutely fantastic drive by Whincup! Gutted for Davison but second isn't bad after all. Surprised to see Lowndes finishing 4th after all his problems.

So what happened to Lowndsey? I was just perpetually out yesterday and missed the race :(

Got a flat tyre towards the end of the race, don't know which lap, and somehow managed to get his wild car into pitlane. He was practically in last position after that.

That was some great driving by Lowndes to get it into the pitlane.

I was hoping Davison could hang on, but catching the backmarker at the beginning of the penultimate lap cost him. Still, a fantastic drive from Whincup and Tander did well to get a podium.

While not being a fan of these things I did watch it on TV. And Jamie Whincup drove brilliantly to take the win, and Davison [And winterbottom] was dead unlucky not to take the win on very much a fuel economy strategy.

Sometimes 'entertainment' can still produce motorracing.

It is still a very dangerous place however. Turn 8 bit 4 or 5 cars with Jason Bright going to hospital witrh a sore shoulder. I am told the car is too damaged as is the driver for today. In all reality of all the cars they may resurect 1 or 2, and they will be walking wounded.
