Today seems like an especially good day to remember Jack Turner (April 1, 1916 - March 7, 2011), and the remarkable sports cars he created. The Turner Register can still account for well over half of the ~600 cars Jack Turner built. Some owners - like singer Petula Clark - used their Turner sports cars to go Downtown but a very high proportion of Turners were racecars. I think about a dozen Turners are still actively raced in the New England area.
