Is it better when red line is above or below?

Above. Although it seems to contradict logic of the labeling on the y axis.

4 stops: 10 option 20 option 30 option 40 prime.
Much quicker with all sets new :drunk: A little quicker with first set used.

My optimal 4 stopper:

1st set used,
stops @ 12, 24, 36, 48 lap

Prime on last stint

Wow.Beat him by 16-17 secs

1-O/new/lap12...2-P/used/lap26...3-P/new/lap42

One set of primes used in Q1,another in Q2 leaves one fresh set for the race. Two sets of options used in Q3 leaves a fresh set for the race.

...btw my last strategy was the same as both Mac drivers and LH was the only driver to stop on lap 17,(so AL stop using my posts for strategy) missed the second one by +3-4 laps.

3 stopper seems quickest,

opt/prime/prime seems decent too, getting around 15sec-17sec quicker atm.

The simulation is not accurate. As the track rubbers in, grip improves and tyre degradation slows.

Also, as the cars get lighter, tyre degradation slows.

Tyre degradation is modeled as constant regardless of when in the race it's occurring.

There's no way of changing the tyre degregation based on which car you're driving either.

My Lotus can go 10 laps longer than James's Mercedes on the same set of tyres.......

People are only beating JA's time because they aren't using worn tyres.

3 stopper here then. Seems really easy to beat his forecast at Malaysia (compared with Albert Park). Got 12 secs advantage on my first go! I think James Allen is running Hancook remoulds.

ok, just beat him on this;
http://www.jamesalle...egy-calculator/
with a one-stopper at Valencia. Clearly seems that one stopping will bring the result - if you can stretch it out!

As Mr Allen says; advantage Lotus and Sauber?
