Good list when you start to think about it. Balestre, Max and Bernie must be there. Schumacher and Foyt too. Chapman - maybe. Enzo Ferrari - I really don't know that much about why he should be there. Danica, maybe. Maybe Flavio should be there somewhere. Tony George - hell yeah!

And come to think of it. Add Kubica's PR manager and this Lux guy who charged Sutil.

Vettel has a big chance to compete for a good place on the list, if he is going to loose his temper so easily :D

No. He is a class act. If he starts to crash into competitors in the final race to win the WDC - twice - and park the car in Rascasse. Maybe.

TBH - there's so many monumental bellends associated with motorsport that you'd pretty much have depleted the Amazon of wood by the time you'd written them all down.

Balestre is in a league of his own though. Spanky not far behind.......

I would put Senna at #1. Anyone who would intentionally drive into another car in front of a full grid of cars has #1 locked up for me. I still can't believe he wasn't banned for a full year. I lost all respect for him that day.

Tony George is right to be at #1

None of the other dicks single handedly destroyed a world class racing series.

To be honest i believe it would be a lot easier to make a list of people who aren't dicks.

Everyone cheats and almost all of them are dicks.

Yes I definitely agree, I can't believe he wasn't even on the list.

Add in Montezemolo as well, and I wouldn't have Bernie in front of most of those. I would also classify Alonso as a **** rather than a dick, which is probably a bit better ;)

Didn't f1 media award Senna with a kind of Golden Raspberry Award for being the biggest dick several times early in his career? That even would make him a certified big dick in motor racing history.

Problem is, that not too many of us in here personally knew or know any of those people listed on the shame-list, which raises legitimate question how much of our criticism is based on perception, false information, and facts alone. I fear that we operate most of the time removed from realities. The Ragged Edge wrote an interesting post which in the norms of this BB, and his spirit of simplicity captures some of it quite well IMO.

Contemporaries might wave off emotionally charged articles, and form another opinion, but the generation that follows might take these records as legacy, and historical facts without being corrected, and that's the sad end of it. To conclude, are we really in a position to cast a stone? I am not so certain that we are.

Biased. :smoking: Chapman was clearly more evil than Enzo.

If they are adding Kyle Bush they might as well include the 2 scammers from USF1.

His legendary status must not hide his complete disregard for driver safety.

Nelson Piquet Junior ?

I think that's a bit unfair.

He was a young guy, trying to make his way in F1 locked in a team where he was the clear #2 (and always would be regardless of performance). I think he was just trying to please his bosses and made a dumb call. It's a shame his entire career will be tarnished by it, whilst Symonds gets to return to work in F1 and Briatore seems to have a lifetime Paddock & grid all-access pass like nothing ever happened. :well:

The real villains of that piece were Briatore and Symonds for even considering it.

Can't argue against Moseley, Bernie, Kyle Busch or George being on the list though. Three for destroying great race series for personal gain (or delusions in the case of George), and Kyle for being the filthiest racer in all motorized sports today. They would have banned him in any other series.

Piquet Snr - Apart from the obvious hatred for Mansell and other drivers, the fact that on several occasions his teams have been questioned for cheating says enough. Brazilian F3 is one example.
Chapman - He's remembered for the wrong reasons, manslaughter charges was it? dangerous man who deserves no place in F1 history.

edit - Max Mosley??!! The guy was a contributing factor in making F1 the safe sport it is now.
