I will be in Paris this summer while the Le Mans Classic is on. Having spoken to my girlfriend I have gotten "the day off" on Friday and was thinking about going down to Le Mans for the day. Thing is though, I see the train will take some two hours each way and this will cut down on the actual time at the track. Does anyone have any advice regarding how to get from the train station to (and from) the track in a quick and easy way? Is this too ambitious for a one day journey? Unfortunately that is the only day available for me this year.

Check the train carefully. Last time I did it, it was under the hour from Paris Montparnasse to Le Mans. Then I believe there is a tram to the circuit.

Thanks for your answer. Found a TGV train which leave Paris at "too early hundred hours" in the morning. It takes only 1h 3m down to Le Mans. It seems as though the tramline is next to the station, so that will help a lot. I guess I will be on my way to the Classic.
