Rosberg also speaks French and Sutil Spanish a bit? For whatever reason, they couldn't show German flag.To be fair to them Vettel does speak some Finnish, i can see how that would be confusing.
Seriously though, i know its only testing but someone made a bit of a balls up to make those errors, never mind the person (editor?) who is responsible for quality control.

That isn't LG though.
it was never LG, it was sponsorship logo, kinda like Acer duct, it's FOM who does this thing together with the broadcasters, but this time i think it's skyF1's fault.

They're made by DixonBaxi to be precise. The FIA isn't making any of the graphics.

/edit: their reel on vimeo is quite cool though. except for the f1 part which looks like it's taken from the 80s compared to the rest

I think you will find the third test is a complete Sky production, so no FOM or LG involvement.

yeah, I know (LG even quit for this year didn't they?) I just thought it fits here the best.I think you will find the third test is a complete Sky production, so no FOM or LG involvement.

What were they thinking? Yes, it's easier to notice PBs in the list than it used to be, but it's absolutely impossible to read the times before they turn white. White-on-green would indeed be much better.Wow. That green colored font used for fast lap (instead of white font and green background) was just bad (SD transmission here).

1) Why can't there be like 5 times running at the bottom of the screen simultaneously, would come very handy at the end of quali sessions. Imagine Seb, Ham, Webber, Alonso, Kimi all gunning for pole all within 40 seconds in their last lap, would add so much to the experience and would make it easier than having to jump from live timing to the screen every 3 seconds following all the sector times. Currently there is 2 at most (and not always).
2) A running timer showing the difference to the fastest time in FPs/Q. They already do this for the races, sure it would be more difficult to produce this with a ghost but surely possible?

Personally i quite liked the PB times in green, no trouble reading it either (HD).
Today I watched in HD, and you can read the times. But in SD, as ANF has said, it is impossible to read the time posted before it turns to white.

I got 2 points for development here.

Yes, good suggestions.
There are many ways they could improve the graphics, and it would not be a big job. It's hard to understand why fans are ignored in this matter. Tv ratings are so important you would imagine they'd do everything they can to improve the show. Who decides these things? Frustrating.

You're right, I watched in SD. On a 46" TV a few metres away.Today I watched in HD, and you can read the times. But in SD, as ANF has said, it is impossible to read the time posted before it turns to white.
Nevertheless, I think the green PBs are a failure. The contrast is simply too low; the green is so dark that it blends into the background.
I'd prefer white PB times on green, but even green times on white would be easier to read than the current ones. At least that's what I think.

With 6 minutes to go in Q2 we still don't have the standings shown... Good job Rolex.
Why is that the fault of Rolex?
#132
Posted 23 March 2013 - 10:59
They showed it at the very beginning of Q2 and there was some sort of glitch in the standings. I assumed that bringing correct time data to the viewers was, at least in major part, Rolex responsibility. Why is that the fault of Rolex?

No more than it was LG's responsibility. They're just sponsors.

Don't know who is responsible for the F3 European Championship graphics but this is "mega lolz". How, just... how?!?
It's amazing... just amazing...
It was probably just a test setting and they happen to have Romain as their default name!?! Maybe they think he's on a slippery slope back down from F1?
