Maybe Alonso needs to wear it on a T-Shirt/cap: "Congrats Seb on the 3rd title". :rotfl:

I was watching it I cannot remember it exactly but it was like Massa was racing against him and helping Fernando as much as he could, that he was all over the place and not always fair, and that Ferrari was not fair in the recent time as well... then I better switched the TV channel.

Btw. Fernando has just updated his status on Facebook: "I score this season a 10! If we had to repeat these twenty races I would change nothing done by the team or yours truly: no mistakes, no mechanical problems, zero problems at the pit stops, zero strategic mistakes."

Yes exactly that was what he mentioned as well but he forgot to mention all the illegal things they had on their RB.

I just hope that Fernando can take it in 2013 or I stop watching F1 like in years 2000-2004 when each race was a Michael Schumacher lap parade!

Should have been his championship.

Lets hope it all comes together in 2013.

Then Ferrari will need to work much much harder. Although a brilliant driver, Alonson has been lucky to be challenging for the title until the very final race in a car that hasn't been good in qualifying.

I would give 10- ...one costly mistake from Fernando at Suzuka and team made strategic mistake with tyres/pitstop strategy at Canada.

He should make it next year because Vettel will probably come in in 2014 if he does not succeed again...

Today's Gazetta dello Sport: "Seb, il robot che sa soffrire. Futuro rosso?"
http://www.gazzetta....195848970.shtml

EDIT: I have just read it translated and the article is pretty harsh. I hope Fernando better does not read it today

I think for his 'rough' exterior, inside he really needs that confirmation that he's doing well.
That's why he's been downplaying the car all year, flirting with Hamilton every other race, that's why we hear his engineer talk about "his great talent, of which we know you have loads".
It's nice sometimes to see that they're only human

However, I do hope he is realistic enough that he knows the "no mistakes" bit is not entirely true. Otherwise we'll see him off in the first corner again next year, and if Massa has the upperhand from race 1, I doubt he's still going to be as submissive as he's been in the last couple races. For the misfortune of Spa, he was fortunate with Webber in India and USA. If he had performed like Massa, he would have gotten Webber without 'luck' in India, USA and Korea. As long as he realises that, and works to improve that next year, he'll be fine.

He congratulated him after the race in front of TV cameras... Isn't that enough? Maybe he should buy flowers next time... :drunk:

Thanks for posting, but you know, unfortunately that won't stop another myth to pop up against Alonso. People will keep on saying Alonso didn't congratulate him till March even if he actually did. Happened already.

Illegal things, of which nothing has been proved? Right.

Fact is that Alonso once again failed to win the title. I was certainly not impressed by the way Massa started out-performing him when it counted the most. That, for me, is a sign that the car was actually improving heavily towards the end of the season.

I feel for alonso, hard to make a case he didnt get almost 100% out of the ferrari. So massa outqualifies him what twice? 3 times over a year. What was the vettel webber head to head qualy?

Seb is a worthy champ, but i found his dirty tricks comment a little ungracious. Rbr been pushing the technical and sporting limits for years and thats how it should be. What about changing sebs set up in abu dhabi? Early pitting webber in same race to move him out the way, flexi wings, mapping etc.

Its a world championship, the both pushed to the limit.

Pretending one is holy and the other a devil is wrong IMO.

 I paused when I read his words, shocked at how true they are and what an astonishing campaign it was. It'll probably go down in the annals of Ferrari history as one of the greatest years for them ever.

If Alonso plays that game all year, it's bound to come back at him at some point ;)
Let's also not act Alonso is holy in his comments.
