Anyone out there justify his salary I couldn't.I hope donating a race suit to a charity auction wasn't done to ease his conscience.

Well the sponsors and Ferrari can obviously justify it.

Besides, if it was you, I doubt you'd be turning it down!;)

Worth every cent. look at Ferrari's renaissance. Look at the relative salary bill the 16 years prior bringing zero success!

Look at what he provides for the sponsors, Ferrari Road car sales, etc. Worth every penny.

I'm not sure Schumacher deserves as much as 59million a year, but judging by his track record he's worth at least 4 times as much as rhe next highest paid driver on the grid.

How long have most of you been F1 fans? In the days of Senna he made 20 mil. Everyone bitched about that as well. WHY? With todays inflation it comes to the same conclusion. It's all relative. Corporate CEO's make tons of loot and they f up the plant, kill and abuse people, and everyone still uses their products. That's something to complain about. The funniest thing is that the other company that pays Michael has one of the biggest death liablities to it's name. Marlboro! So if you don't like Michael's pay stop smoking and save your life.

Where did this figure come from by the way? I thought Schu earned around $20m. Just curious.

Ivan - Marlboro don't pay Schumacher.

Schumacher is paid between 25 and 33 million USD by Ferrari. The rest comes from endorsements and merchandise sales.

If you can get someone to give you the money, then you deserve it.
