Next Friday me and two friends will travel from Vienna to London, where we will stay for the weekend. The place, where we sleep is at the border Fullham/Chelsey... We have tickets for Village B with a permission for the parking area there.
I attended various F1-GP in the past, but never been at Silverstone before. Therefore the question: Should we really drive (with a rented car) to the circuit, or would it be better to go by train? How are the connections there from the place, where we sleep?
Greetings from Vienna !!!

Not been since 1988-but AFAIK bus shuttle still runs from Northampton.Tube to Euston-train to Northampton-bus to circuit. However if three of you are sharing maybe hiring a car might workout cheaper and less hastle-are you just going for Sunday?

We will arrive in London at 3pm, but won´t go to Silverstone until Saturday morning. Let´s see, how long we need from circuit to London. maybe we will stay in a hotel on the way, if it takes too long...

Get a train from London Euston to Northampton it's about 80 minutes and get the shuttle bus from there to the circuit. Going by car will be very expensive and you will get stuck in traffic.

Edit: You don't have to go all the way to Northampton from London, you can get off at Milton Keynes and then get a bus

You can buy beer with all the money you save on parking.
