Err... guys - I just at teletext on British Eurosport. We all know that Eurosport (via analogue satellite) is showing all the CART races live, but according to British Eurosport (cable/digital), they are showing live Athletics from Lisbon.

Also, Eurosport aren't showing the WSB until late in the evening (after the CART), whereas British Eurosport are showing the first race tape-delayed and the second live.

What I need to know is - if British Eurosport aren't showing CART live, when ARE we gonna see it?

I didn't find anything about the CART race in the TV programs for (German) Eurosport either. They show NASCAR (presumably a summary) but that's it about motor sports for Sunday :(

I find British Eurosports coverage of Nascar a waste of time - I wish to see races live - at the moment I see them perhaps a week or two afterwards or not at all. Furthrer they decided not to show Daytona due to DE's accident. I object to this high handed teatment which is reminscent of the BBC attitude in the 1950's

I can't see why their CART coverage would be any different. Without the US commentary it is meaningless!

I wish that we motor racing enthusiasts could push for our own channel showing all the major events in the US live. Should this be a thread on its own perhaps?

I do not see anything about CART on the swedish version. This is really worrying!

I saw a trailer on British eurpsort last night that said the Monterrey race would be on live on Sunday night but I didn't catch the exact time. But there is nothing in the listings and Eurosport is always bd at updating their teletext and website. So I shall just have to suck it and see...

They were showing some trailer for the race just 30 mins ago and then there's this: http://site.eurospor...edule.asp?DAY=3 (the link won't give you the right page tomorrow) so I'm pretty sure they'll show it.

Regarding Eurosport's Daytona coverage: They didn't show the race, but instead showed the crash about ten times from different angles and in slowmotion. AND the music in the DE tribute was Rob D's 'Clubbed to Death', which IMHO was more than a little inappropriate.

Eurosport really are a shower, they make it so difficult to know what is on and when. I wish they could get their act together. After Mellon's comment, I looked at their website and there is no mention of CART anywhere. Then I realised that it is British Eurosport that covers CART and I found this :-

http://www.eurosport...edule.asp?DAY=2

which suggests that the CART race will be on at 21.45 (that's probably CET, so it may be 20.45 GMT in the UK). But I will only believe it when I see Mexicans on my screen on Sunday night....

According to Eurosport text its on both International & British Eurosport. iIthink the reason its missing from all listing magazines,is the deal was done at the last minuite. The schedule in Autosport is always rubbish anyway, they often list events cancelled weeks ago.

Thanks for the info red 5. I was a little worried when I started reading this post, specially after seeing a 200 review the other night that said thjey would be showing CART live. Like BRG says Brit eurosport are a nightmare, a couple of years ago I complained to them because they over ran on an under 21's international football match (only 1 team was even european) & I got a response in spanish !

I remember that there was a football (or "soccer") game on before the Long Beach CART race in 1999. It went to extra time and penalties which seemed to take an eternity to complete and they went to Long Beach and there was my man Montoya winning the race. I was most pi**ed off so I wrote and complained with an extra-longwinded three or four page letter :) Never got a reply though.

IMHO Eurosport's coverage is okay; Ben Edwards and Jeremy Shaw are very good but there are too many ad breaks that last for too long.
