 I wonder when he concluded that? in fp1 when he was in front by 0.7, or in fp2 when he was in front by 0.5 before he didn't improve much on the softs?

He thinks the RB is the fastest car in qualifying? :drunk:

We have cry baby nº2. The nº1 still Alonso.

When your team mate is in front the other RB you should not cry... but actually since Lewis is out of this WDC fighting (having maybe the fastest car overall) he inmediatly became a cry baby...
I still remember his stats last season about Seb, talking about he is always very fast over one lap and saying he´s a deserved WDC... you can´t be winning all the time, being faster than everybody, and be loved by the people you are smashing!.

This thread hit the nail and we have proved almost the time!

They will qualify on the softs, therefore a reasonable conclusion that McLAren have good pace, but will struggle to get the best out of the softer option for qualifying, which will compromise their chances of pole. I didn't need Hamilton to tell me that either. Most would surely be able to deduce all that from the evidence of FP1 and FP2... and we'll have more evidcence provided after FP3, where the expected outcome could change once again.

The problem is that Alonso ignores Vettel.

That´s not true. He talks about him almost the time and I´m sure is the last guy remember when going to sleep...

In fact I´m sure he´s dreaming with him since 2010...

Today on spanish tv they said Alonso is trying top play mind games. If you can´t beat your main rival on the track, maybe you´ll do out of the track. Obviously it will be such stupid to not praise your rival (what Seb did)... because if you finally win (or not) then won´t be any kind of glory.

And that´s a sport rule Alonso did not seem to understand. Maybe Nadal should explain something about... ;)

Man, you are really playing dumb. No it is not correct, the quote in full was
"When we had similar cars to everyone, we were leading the championship. Now we are fighting against a Newey car," Alonso said after qualifying fifth. "They are first and second in all the races; it's not only Sebastian."

Not in the Spanish interview. He said "Ahora estamos luchando contra Adrian Newey" ("Now we are fighting Adrian Newey").

There will be one 3 time champion next year and he will the top dog. Others can think and say what they want.

I think they will be able to solve their softer tyre problems (if there is a problem at all, could be just bad circumstances, like traffic), but their base pace seems better than RB's.

Too Fast To Be Popular?

Rather than receive acclaim for his run of four consecutive victories as he strives to become a triple World Champion at the age of 25, Vettel has instead been dogged in recent weeks by barbs that his success has been largely - if not solely - dependent on the genius designs of Adrian Newey.

Last week in India title rival Fernando Alonso caused a considerable stir when he told reporters that "we are not only fighting Sebastian, we are fighting Newey", and Horner suspects that both Vettel and Red Bull are becoming unpopular victims of their own success.

"It is uncomfortable for some people the success that Sebastian has had, and uncomfortable for some the success that Red Bull has had," Horner told The Times.

"That is not our fault. Sebastian has achieved some remarkable things in a short space of time. He has not completed 100 grands prix yet but he has won 26 per cent of them so far and in cars capable of winning from the front - he has done it in a Toro Rosso in the wet, he has done it in cars that, on the day, have not been the best car.

"Seb doesn't brag about it, he carries it modestly and it is remarkable what he has achieved, but the fastest way to become unpopular in this paddock is to be successful."

Not that Vettel seems unduly bothered by the prospect of losing friends in the paddock, however, as he closes in on winning yet another title.

Once again, the German led the pack on Friday as the action resumed in Abu Dhabi, topping the Practice Two timesheets after McLaren took the morning honours.

More proof that it is idiotic to inspect every single word he says under a microscope.

Should Vettel win WDC, this will be one hellish winter around here.

He won it by Suzuka so nothing is going to change.

Now Hamilton again. I am not a Vettel fan but find myself hoping he wins just throw egg in the face of Alonso and Hamilton who are proving to be ugly individuals.

Classless frankly.

In fact I vote for a ban of all the drivers and F1 related people if they don't think Vettel is the best driver ever.

I do not know about that, but image of eight WDC(s) terrifies a lot of people, so it seems.

If you don't know there's a difference between qualifying pace and race pace, you should Google 'Trulli train'.
Red Bull's had an advantage in the earlier races (Ferrari obviously better in Malaysia's changing circumstances), Ferrari was on par if not faster a couple times from Barcelona on. The cars were not equal, but that doesn't mean they were always not equal on one side.

Having a car that is good for qualifying obviously makes racing much easier than if you have to charge from behind. But you didn't know that did you. :stoned:

About Alonso having an equal car since Barcelona. Well, it's obviously true since he kept Vettel at bay easily throughout the whole season until Adrian Newey came to the rescue Suzuka-present.

Why not 10? If you want to brag about titles round numbers always look better.

Vettel hasn't even won his third title, let alone seven or eight! :rotfl:

Vettel might never win even three titles, but the way how some people are performing (already) surely one would thinks that mere possibility has terifying dimension for them.
