10/10

Best Driver: diifficult to choose between Hamilton, Button, Hulkenberg, Vettel and Massa. Hulk was superb but there was just that unlucky slide.... Let's choose Button, because he lost a joint 46 second lead because of that SC.
Worst Driver: Grosjean was pretty bad, but so was Webber - for the third consecutive race..... and of course Senna.
Best Team: Ferrari maximised perfectly and took an unlikely 2nd place in the WCC.
Best Overtake: Kimi on Schumi, pure ballet.
Best Moment: Quit a few to choose from. The moment I realised Vettel could still deliver with a wounded car. Kobayashi mixing it with the top guys. Passes for the lead. Kimi's exploratory search for the old track....
DRS + Tyres: OK, interesting tyre choices to make.
And the race in a sentence... A thriller from start to (almost) finish. Interlagos forever!

After 17 laps I felt like having watched a whole race, realising it were only the first 17 laps of a 71 lap race :rotfl:

If you don´t rate this a 10, then there´s no 10 for you. I´m a young guy and haven´t watched lots of classic GPs, but I know every GP from 1996 on. Today, for the second time after Brazil 2008, I thought "I doubt I will ever see a race better than this again in my life".

I think it´s time for a poll: is this best ever F1 GP?? Sounds like a stupid knee-jerk question, but it´s not this time. It had everything: title battle swinging several times, changing conditions, awesome racing, drama... Would like to hear from those who think there has been better races to watch their choices.

Some people dont rate race entertainment/racing-wise. They just wish their fav driver to win, so u can expect that people who were after Lewis or Alonso can rate it as 1

For me it would come very close but still behind Brazilian GP 2008 (but mostly because it was Massa x Hamilton and not Teflonso x Fingerboy.;)

Best Drivers: hamilton , vettel (for his recovery), Massa (had a good race)
Worst Drivers: Grosjean , senna, perez, Webber (F1 is a team sport, it's not all about ego)
Best Teams: Ferrari,Mclaren , FI
Best Overtakes: kimi on Schumi, massa on Kamui
Best Moments: KIMI: lost in space (around interlagos)
DRS + Tyres: DRS had virtually no effect, nice to see people driving slicks in the wets, showed balls
And the race in a sentence... Next year, make sure that gate is open :p

Best Driver - Alonso, Massa, Button or Hulk.
Worst Driver - Hard one. Given I think they are just a joke of a team, I want to say either of the TR drivers but that isn't the point really.
Best Team - Force India - very strong weekend.
Best Overtake - Alonso on Webber or Kimi on MSC
Best Moment - Kimi going off the track and looking for a way back on!
DRS + Tyres - Fine
And the race in a sentence... - I gave it 10/10. I didn't think Austin last week was as good as many seemed to think it was but yesterday had so much. I just wish Alonso was WDC!

Best Overtake - Alonso on Webber/Massa. Brave stuff

9/10. -1 because of SC finish and the result with Seb winning the WDC.

Best Driver- How can people say Hulk? Yea, he really impressed, but he threw it away and took out Hamilton! Even if he was quick, he has to keep it on the track to be the best driver of the day. I'd give this to Massa, he was a brilliant team player all day and did absolutely everything, including being faster than Alonso for most of the race. His defense when Alonso was going slowly after the rain started and a train of cars was backing up behind Felipe was very impressive.
Worst Driver- Di Resta.
Best Team- Mclaren. Clearly the fastest car all weekend. Would have won an easy double title based on their form in the first and last race, shame about the middle of the season!
Best Overtake- Alonso on Webber and Massa as Felipe got mark wide and hit the brakes early, knowing Fernando would take them both. Brilliant teamwork and a dramatic pass.
Best Moment- Tie between seeing Vettel facing the wrong way on lap 1 and the 1.5mm separating MSC and Kimi through the first 2 corners.
Race in a sentence- Goodbye MSC.

The first half was unbelievably good, but the end didn't quite live up to the start, so I gave it a 9.

no matter what happens, IMO Suzuka 2005 was the best race ever ... that race had everything and it went down to wire to the last lap when kimi overtook Fisichela ... that was epic.

and in a close second position would be European GP at Nurburgring 2005 ... the race that gave F.Alonso his first WDC IMO  ... still feel frustrated after all these years
P.S it's my personal OP :smoking:

10/10 - one of the best race i´ve ever seen...

Best Driver - it might be Hulk, but i´ll pick Vettel, great recovery
Worst Driver - clearly Grosjean - awful Q, even worse Race...and yeah, Di Resta was also tragic
Best Team - apart from Alonso´s title lose, it was very good race for Ferrari, with both cars on podium (first time this season I think)
Best Overtake - MSC vs. RAI battle in first section was amazing...
Best Moment - in this eventfull race it´s difficult to choose one...post-start collision wasn´t for me (as a Vettel fan in this race) good moment...
DRS + Tyres - changable weather with different tyre strategies was also interesting...
And the race in a sentence... - I watch F1 for few years, and there are some unforgettable races...Brazil 2012 is clearly one of them...and also full season was amazing

Supprised so many people are saying Hulk was the best driver of the race. He had race winning pace but made a mistake while in the lead that lost him position then made a mistake while trying to take the lead again and made contact that took Lewis out. He made a recovery to 5th after a drive through penalty but does that really sound like the driver to get the award "best driver of the race"?

He overtook and took the lead of the race, in the first place. This after starting from 5th. He had the fifth fastest car at best, seventh fastest car at worst, ninth fastest car by rating. It was absolutely phenomenal what he did in the race, and there is a reason why he is winning the best driver of the race award by a landslide.

Best Driver - Button, judged the conditions perfectly. Built a large gap to3rd place. Made no mistakes.
Worst Drive - Senna, almost cost Vettel the championship.
Best Team - Force India, able to compete with the big boys.
Best Overtake - Alonso on Webber and Massa, nicely orchestrated.
Best Moment - Vettel being spun and continuing, made the race much more exciting.
DRS + Tyres - As expected in those conditions.
And the race in a sentence - Perfect race to end the season.

DRS + tyres - Didn't matter, rain is enough.

Tyres most certainly did matter, as the race was run almost entirely in weather conditions that fell somewhere between Pirelli's dry and intermediate specs.

Where do you see that, particularly the "landslide" part? Take a look at James Allen's poll of Driver of the Day- http://www.jamesalle...r-of-the-day-2/
With over 4,000 votes split between one of 5 drivers (Button, Vettel, Massa, Hulkenberg, and Alonso), he has Vettel at #1 with 26%, followed by Button with 22%, Massa with 21%, Alonso with 16%, and finally Nico with around 15%. Not that his website is definitive, but I'd trust the much larger sample size of that poll than the replies in this thread that claim that Hulk was clearly the best driver of the day.

I'm not taking anything away from him, he had a good day and would have easily been the best if only he hadn't taken Hamilton out with his hasty overtake attempt.
