He never crashed because of his error. It was other people crashing into him. Massa, Maldonado, Kobayashi etc.

Hamilton can do things with his car no other driver can do. There are highlight videos all over you tube. All these other names like Kimi, Vettel, Alonso; they have pulled off great moves this year, but they weren't anything ultra difficult per-say. I still rate that Kimi vs Michael as the best of the season. It was spectacular but not that difficult. You can't judge overtaking skill without accounting for the difficulty.

It always takes two to tangle. Thats why I rate kimi higher. But I do agree that Lewis can do things no other driver can do, although i feel that your statement that Kimi, Seb and Alonso havent pulled off anything ultra difficult is just utter bs.

Never crashed because of his error? Just the incident with Kobayashi was his error, and there are more.

I don't know, they are all great in the poll list, even Grosjean if he is past the first lap mark. I am not sure, what to think of Massa and Webber. Others are great, separating them seems fanboyism. Hamilton may have an attractive style, but without top speed he can't do anything either like Monza in 2011 showed.

I am very surprised with the result of this poll.

Raikkonen is leading the poll on the "Best Overtaker in F1".

And who should be leading by your opinion? In this poll Kimi=Lewis, just as I've predicted in the opening post. It seems there is general consensus that these two are above others in overtaking category.

Why i think Kimi his the best: He's very precise, and manages to find some different lines of overtaking. This was particularly evident this year with a car with low top speed. His overtakes on the guys with mercedes/ferrari engines were outside the places of max speed co's he didn't have it. So kimi did it in diferent corners: Eau rouge on schumi, the Snake complex in Austin on Hulkenberg, in the midle sector in Hokeinheim on di Resta, in the Senna S on Schumcher at Brazil. His wheel to wheel excelled trully this year. Hamilton is also good but more irreliable co's he's more instinctive and does not back off, Alonso has a more opportunistic aproach [see double overtaking on Massa/Webber at Brazil] and Vettel can also overtake a lot, but his car has some competitive advantage on the majority.

Honorable mention goes to Jenson Button. He's a bit Kimi style: Precise, knowing when to back off. That's why he usually does better in races than in quali.

Again it all comes down to what you understand by best overtaker. For me it's all about balancing aggression with control. Continually throwing the car down the inside and hoping that the other guy gives in is just as bad as never attempting a move in the first place. I'm a Button fan, so obviously for me I like Buttons style (although he can hang back a bit too much sometimes) and especially the way he seems to take into account who he's racing against when deciding how aggressive to be when attempting a move. But for me this year Kimi has really impressed me (potentially he's had more opportunities to overtake after qualifying upper-mid-grid). He's never looked out of control when going for it and usually made his moves stick (especially impressive in the DRS era).
