did anyone ever race a Rob North relica frame using a unit 650-750 Triumph motor,I know Mick Hemmings produced a Commando engine version,I've a paddock photo I took in 86 of Clive Spencer also a shot of Dave Degens who if I remember correctly won a few classic races on his Dresda Triumph in the 80s

Here is a Rob North modified Featherbed with a 650 motor circa 1971. Might be of interest

A rugged looking thing, but a seemingly clever mod to lower the centre of gravity of an existing good handler. Do we know who raced it?
